The Russian military had made more gains between Seversk and Liman in the Donetsk direction, and further north in the direction of Kharkiv by September 30.

The Yug [South] Group of Forces cleared a large part of the territories to the north of Seversk, capturing Seversk Maly right on the Bakhmutka River, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Footage released by the ministry indicates that Kiev forces took heavy losses in the settlement.

Once Russian troops cross the river, they will be at the eastern outskirts of Dronivka. Capturing this settlement will allow the troops to bypass mine November 6 in the northeastern outskirts of Seversk, opening a direct route to attack the city from its northwestern and western outskirts. It is unclear if Kiev forces have prepared any defenses there.

It’s worth noting that Ukrainian troops in Seversk are already threatened by two Russian attacks from the Vyimka to the south, and Pereizne to the southwest.

Moving north, the Russian MoD confirmed that the Zapad [West] Group of Forces had imposed full control over Zarichne and its outskirts. The ministry released a video showing a side of the battle that took place there. Kiev forces are currently conducting a counterattack to the south of the settlement and heavy clashes are reported to be taking place there.

The capture of Zarichne opens the door for Russian troops to directly advance towards the eastern outskirts of Liman, and later storm the city.

Once the Ukrainian counterattack is repelled, the troops will be able to mount more pressure on Yampil to the south, threatening the main supply route between Liman and Seversk.

The Zapad Group of Forces also made gains in Kharkiv, reportedly securing a large area to the west of Zelenyi Hai. The target of the push appears to be Borivska Andriivka. Russian troops could reach the eastern outskirts of the settlement very soon.

A Russian breakthrough beyond Borivska Andriivka, further to the west or to the south, could put all Ukrainian defenses on the eastern bank of the Oskil River in this section at risk. It is still, however, too early for such a scenario. Kiev forces will likely fight back.

Overall, the Russian military’s advance between Seversk and Liman in Donetsk is picking up speed, despite some Ukrainian attempts to counterattack. In Kharkiv, the attack from Zelenyi Hai could seriously complicate the situation for Kiev forces, who are already struggling to support other fronts in this direction.

hurry up, the us and nato are going to establish a no-fly-zone with empty air defense systems for which they have launchers but no interceptor missiles (these are needed elsewhere).

La Inquisiciòn Española

natos combined five thousand+ fighter-bombers &over 1000 combat choppers is plenty to establish a noflyzone against aircraft, drones and cruise missiles which is the bulk of russian attacks.

not enough against 1000 shahed-type drones per day (est. production by dec) on a sustained basis. not a chance against hypersonics. lastly, nato aircraft are prey to russian long-range air defense should the conflict turn hot. in that case, their support infrastructure, i.e. airbases, swimming bathtubs with aircraft, better be outside 2000 km range of russian hypersonics.
