The Russian Air Force carried out a number of airstrikes in the West Ghouta region of rural Damascus on Tuesday, hitting several jihadist targets at the strategic town of Khan Al-Sheih.
A military source told Al-Masdar News on Tuesday that the Russian Air Force launched five airstrikes at Khan Al-Sheih, killing a large number militants from Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham.
Last time the Russian Air Force attacked the West Ghouta region, they were specifically targeting a jihadist meeting in Khan Al-Sheih.
The Russian Air Force was likely targeting a specific jihadist commander in the West Ghouta; especially, since they rarely conduct airstrikes at night. Advertisement
