Russian air defenses intercepted more than 60 suicide drones over the Krasnodar and the Crimean Peninsula early on April 27, repelling one of the largest attacks by the Kiev regime this year.
In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that 66 drones were shot down over Krasnodar and two others over Crimea.
Krasnodar governor Veniamin Kondratyev said on his Telegram channel that “an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack” on oil refineries and energy infrastructure in the region was foiled and more than ten drones were intercepted over the Slavyansk, Kushevsk and Seversky districts. The governor didn’t report any casualties.
An aerial strike damaged a distillation column at the Slavyansk-on-Kuban oil refinery, the head of the Slavyansk district, Roman Sinyagovsky, reported. The attack caused a fire which has since been extinguished, the official wrote in a Telegram post.
“There have been nine attacks in total on the tank farm and distillation column. Thanks to the built-in protection system, the tank farm hasn’t been damaged,” Sinyagovsky said.
The region’s operational headquarters later reported that a fire had also been extinguished at a separation unit at the crude processing facility.
The Ilyinsky oil refinery was also reportedly hit. Russian sources said that the AT-1 installation in the refinery was damaged causing a fire, which was extinguished after half an hour.
Ukraine intensified attacks on Russian territory with the start of the year. Nearly all the attacks targeted civilian properties and infrastructure. Kiev forces used drones either supplied directly by NATO backers or made locally from commercial models and parts.
The Kiev regime apparently views these attacks as a way to make up for the never ending failures of its forces on the battlefields.
The Russian military has been launching missile and drone strikes against Ukraine in response. A spokesman for the pro-Russian underground resistance told TASS on April 27 that overnight Russian strikes destroyed the Burshtyn thermal power plant in the Ivano-Frankovsk region in western Ukraine.
“Explosions in the Ivano-Frankovsk Region were registered in the town of Burshtyn. The town accommodates the Burshtyn thermal power plant. According to preliminary information, precisely the power plant was hit,” the spokesman said.
Five other missiles hit the Dnepropetrovsk region and a strong blow with the subsequent detonation was registered in the Krivoi Rog region, according to the spokesman, who also said that other strikes targeted the Lvov region with most of the missiles hitting the settlement of Stryi.

lol. funny that russia, the u.s. and israel always shoot down all incoming missiles and drones and never take any real damage.
birds of a feather.
lol.funny that when russia, the u.s. or israel are attacked by their enemies it’s always a terrorist attack.
birds of a feather.
why do you leave out ukraine? that’s not being honest, imo.
how did they do that when they ran out of missiles over a year ago, hypnotism?
because war is full of wishful thinking people on both sides.
during ww2 soviet vvs, kbf and pvo pilots claimed on average 10 times more enemy aircraft than enemy actually lost. there is no credibility with these foolishly exaggerating russian claims.
even russian military historians admit it. and putin doesn’t like it.
read article of 1939-45 overclaiming. that phenomenon is natural part of air war. no air force was free of it.
remember those confident predictions by experts that russia would take kyiv in a week? two years later, that russia can barely hang on to crimea.
it happens
what happens?
my guess:stalemate.
the more that ukraine and russia have striven for victory, the greater the stalemate.
ukrainians have fought bravely but they will have no chance to push russians out of donbas and liberate crimea. stalemate is maximum kiev can achieve.
