The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue daily strikes on the Russian rear infrastructure. In recent day, they managed to reach several targets.

It was confirmed that on December 11th, the Ukrainian military launched strikes on the Russian territory with NATO missiles. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the attack. According to the official report, the target of the strikes was the local military airfield. In total, six US-made ATACMS missiles were used. Two of them were shot down by Russian Pantsir air defense system, other missiles were intercepted by the EW means and their course was changed.

Russian air defense failed to shot down all the missiles over the Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, but any heavy damage to the infrastructure was avoided. As a result of the attack, the wreckage of the missiles inflicted some minor damage to two engineering buildings and several military vehicles. Some Russian servicemen were wounded.

‘This attack by Western long-range weapons will not remain unanswered, appropriate measures will be taken,’ the Russian military vowed response.

Videos reportedly showing the damage:

The newly shared footage from Taganrog showed wreckage of the ATACMS missiles. NATO reconnaissance is closely monitoring the Russian territory, providing the Ukrainian military with up-to-date information and coordinating the strikes, especially with Western missiles. According to Russian military sources, the military airfield in Taganrog was filmed 18 times by Western satellites before the attack.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the NATO military, resumed strikes with NATO missiles after a short pause. In total, the attack on Taganrog was the third one. Earlier, Russian rear infrastructure in the Kursk region was targeted twice and another attack that targeted the military airfield in Eysk was repelled. Moscow responded with demonstrative strike of its Oreshnik medium-range missile and another devastating wave of strikes on the energy, industrial and military infrastructure throughout Ukraine. New Russian retaliation strikes are never long to wait. LINK
