Russia and Ukraine exchanged drone attacks over the night of November 8 and 9, with losses being reported only on the Ukrainian side.

The Ukrianian Air Force said that Russia attacked Ukraine with some 51 suicide drones, and the southern region of Odessa was the “epicenter.” Geran drones and drones of an “unspecified type” were used in the attack, according to the air force, which claimed that 32 of the drones were intercepted by its air defenses.

Despite the claims of the air force, multiple hits were observed in Odessa with local authorities reporting a number of casualties.

Following this attack, the Russian Ministry of Defense reproted that 50 Ukrianian suicide drones were intercepted by Russian air defenses.

“During the night the attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles on sites on the territory of the Russian Federation were thwarted. On-duty air defense capabilities eliminated and intercepted 50 Ukrainian drones, including 28 drones over the Bryansk region, 12 drones over the Kursk region, four drones over the Novgorod region, two drones over the territory of the Smolensk region, two drones over the Tula region, and one drone over each of the Orlov and Tver regions,” the ministry said in a brief statement.

No casualties or material losses were reported by the ministry of local authorities in the targeted regions, which indicates that the attack was a complete failure.

The Kiev regime stepped up its drone attacks on Russian territory this year, focusing mainly on civilian infrastructure. Dozens of Russian civilians were killed or wounded as a result. These attacks appear to be a desperate attempt by the regime to make up for its never ending defects in the battlefield.
