According to Russian Trade Minister Denis Manturo, the deal includes an option for the purchase of six additional aircraft.

“We believe that tomorrow colleagues must sign a memorandum with one of Egypt’s air tourism companies. They will sign a memorandum on supplying Egypt with four Sukhoi Superjet aircraft… to transport tourists within the region, particularly Egypt itself,” Manturov told reporters.

The Superjet 100 is a Russian-made twin-engine regional passenger airliner. It completed its maiden flight in 2008 and was sold commercially for the first time in 2011.
