According to Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Aerospace Forces will provide “the most active” air support for the Syrian government forces in and around the city of Aleppo. The goal is to prevent terrorists from seizing the city.
“We will decide on how our air forces should act, depending on the situation,” RT cites Lavrov’s words in a media conference following talks with his Finnish counterpart.
Lavrov believes “this will not be a surprise for the Americans.”
We remember, last week, Al Nusra and its allied groups successfully advanced in the Aleppo city and pushed Kurds out from the Sheikh Maqsoud district. Even, the US officially recongized tha “moderate rebel groups” mingled with the terrorists in some areas.
“We believe there was plenty of time for the ‘normal’ opposition to leave Nusra Front territories since February. Those who didn’t part ways with the terrorists have only themselves to blame,” Lavrov commented the situation.
There goes the attempts to freeze the conflict.
No solutions but complete diestruction of all jihadists.
Sounds like the U.S and Turkey are caught with their pants down. The U.S has a network of advisors and CIA officers around Aleppo and Turkey actually has a large number of military officers embedded with the terrorists posing as terrorists themselves. They are both coordinating Al-Nusra and ISIS movements around this area. I say bring down the hammer Russia.
