Russia’s Main Air Academy to Double Turnout of Military Pilots in 2017

The Serov Aviation Academy in Krasnodar is going to to double the turnout of graduates next year to 150.

This is the main air pilots academy in Russia. It trains fighter plane pilots, bomber pilots, pilots of military transport and pilots of long-range planes.

“This year 65 pilots will leave the Krasnodar academy. Next year the number of graduates will double,” the academy’s chief, Colonel Viktor Lyakhov said, according to the Russian news agency, TASS.

According to Lyakhov , each cadet will obtain a flight record of no less than 80 hours. The minimal flight record was 50 hours in previous years.

The primary flight instruction curriculum is also upgraded and expanded.
