“The Russian are slow starters but they drive fast”

famous Russian proverb

Russia has been considering to recognize the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (LPR and DPR), as independent states, Vladimir Putin said during an extraordinary session of the Security Council.

The Russian President noted that the decision will be revealed very soon.

Years of sabotaging of the Minsk agreement by the Kiev regime and its foreign sponsors have forced Moscow to go forward with this move.

According to Russian officials, aggressive actions of NATO and the Kiev regime clearly demonstrated that they aim to destabilize the situation in Europe, destroy the self-proclaimed republics and harm the Russian-speaking population of the region. Furthermore, a large part of DPR and LPR residents already requested Russian citizenship.

In these conditions, Moscow had no option but to protect DPR and LPR civilians from the permanent pressure and aggression.

Several hours earlier, Russia’s FSB and border guards eliminated a group of Ukrainian saboteurs. The Russian military revealed that  two combat vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and five saboteurs entered the territory of Russia. They engaged Russian forces in clashes and then were eliminated.

Russian forces suffered no casualties. This became one of the latest in a series of violations of Russian border (in form of shelling) by Ukrainian forces.

Moscow have ended the phase of ‘soft approach’ towards anti-human actions of Ukraine and its foreign sponsors, mainly the US. So, now it is time for active actions.

At this time i think that would be a wrong move, give the Nazis more rope to hang themselves by launching a major attack on Donbass.

The Ukies have de facto declared war on Russia by invading Russia.
I sort of agree that ‘more rope be given’ to assist their suicide, BUT I am not on the frontlines of the DPR and LPR as a civilian or soldier. Using civilians homes and defence lines as bait for the Ukie’s to shell, rape and pillage is a step too far, I think.

If the US and UK want a war, its close to ‘visiting’ the US and UK!

Tommy Lee

For the sake of the people of the Donbass, war should be averted, if possible.

Why Scooby? Because he needs to protect them from the moron who just blew an entire five man team at the Russian border during the latest false flag operation?

Cuco

Yam –any other source beside RT ?

Sputnik?
Jokes a side, it is strange to me too that there were no photographic or video evidence. At least, in prior case (of border post shelling) we had a video.

Dave

Interesting. Considers recognising them. Fine, as a threat or really? Why not integrate them, like Crimea?
BTW, I read somewhere, that Ukraine hasn’t registered its borders with the UN since 25.12.1991. Meaning, it’s not really a state with borders at all.

Once recognized as Independent States by Russia and the Russian Federation, they will then be invited to join the Federation and will be protected by Russia and its Armed Forces.
I welcome this!

GOOD!
Russia put even a foolishly colossal effort to NOT go to war, but even Putin now realized you must Stand UP! No more room to retreat! The imperialist terrorists and their neo-nazi minions came to Russia’s doorstep, NOW THEY WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCE OF THEIR ARROGANCE!
