Russia, Egypt Resume Direct Flights After 2-Years Pause

Russian and Egypt have signed documents to resume an air traffic between the two countries on February 1, 2018. The Egyptian aviation minister revealed that the sides will discuss resumption of charter flights in April, 2018.

Russia suspended flights between it and Egypt in 2015 after a Russian passenger plane crashed over the Sinai peninsula. 224 people died on board. Russia described the incident as a terrorist attack.
