Russia airdrops 30 tons humanitarian aid into Deir Ezzur of Syria

On Monday, a spokesman for the Russian center of Syrian reconciliation said that a Syrian air force transportation plane, escorted by several Russian jet fighters, delivered 30 tons of humanitarian aid to the city of Deir Ezzur currently besieged by the ISIL terrorist group.

“On March 28, Russian center for Syrian reconciliation organized an aircraft delivery of International Red Crescent humanitarian cargo to the city of Deir Ezzur, besieged by ISIL,” a spokesperson told reporters.

The cargo was delivered from Hmeymim airbase by Syrian Air Force Il-76 cargo aircraft, escorted by Russian Su-30 and Su-35 fighter jets.
