Russia Continues To Use Tu-22M3 Long-Range Bombers Against ISIS In Deir Ezzor (Videos)

Six Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers have once again delivered  airstrikes against ISIS targets in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor, destroying two command centers, weapons and ammunition depots and militant manpower.

“On January 30, six Tu-22M3 long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces took off from an airfield located in the territory of the Russian Federation, flew over territories of Iraq and Iran, and carried out an airstrike on ISIS terrorists’ targets in the Deir Ezzor province of the Syrian Arab Republic,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Two videos depicting airstrikes were also released:

Despite constant Russian airstrikes, the situation in the city of Deir Ezzor remains tense. The Syrian army continues to fight against ISIS terrorists in order to link up the Deir Ezzor Airport with the rest of the government-held pocket.

Syria and Russia and their allies need to immediately liberate Palmera and Sukhna then that will reduce tension on Deir Ezzor. Otherwise you will loose precious lives along with Deir Ezzor. You just need 5000 troops with some 1000 technicalsb and 500 MLRS.

You are correct they need more but they cannot afford to weaken any other areas.

You’re very much correct. But there is a difference between wanting something and actually getting it. I don’t see it happening. There’s the ongoing effort to reduce the various enclaves around Damascus. And the effort to place nice with the Turks around Al-Bab. And there’s also the need to keep an eye on whichever faction comes out on top in Idlib, as that will be the one who will cause problems next.

It’s the curse of Deir Ezzor that its seems to be hanging on reasonably well, and fairly important enough to not let fall, and yet at the same time too far away from SAA lines to mount a relief effort.

Thanks. Nothing drop ready made direct from the sky but people do struggle a little to make it. Government need to recruit 10,000 persons immediately, train them and send them to the war zone for backup. For technical trucks they have lots of ordinary trucks just they need to fix heavy machine guns on these along with Syrian made anti ATGM missiles hardware.

Are you scared? Do not worry, airlift of personnel and resupply went well.
Russian airstrikes against ISUS around Deir Ezzor are taking a toll.
SAA are tough and will take down this last ISUS offensive.
