Russia Approves Law Suspending Free Trade Zone Agreement With Ukraine

On Dec.25, Russia’s Federation Council approved a law which suspends the free trade zone agreement with Ukraine beginning January 1, 2016.

The decision was made because Ukraine is implementing the trade and economic section of the European Union-Ukraine Association Agreement on January 1.

This conducts an econoic threat for Russia while Ukraine is included in the free trade zone agreement signed by the Commonwealth of Independent States on October 18, 2011.
