The night of December 15th was marked by new wave of strikes both in the Russian and Ukrainian rear regions. The both sides suffered damage.
Russian air defense forces destroyed 15 Ukrainian UAVs at night, including 13 UAVs over the Black Sea, one each over the Kursk and Belgorod regions.
Ukrainian drones also targeted the Chechen Republic. The Republic came under the third attack in recent times. According to the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, two of the three enemy UAVs were shot down last night. One of the long-range kamikaze drones based on an Aeroprakt A22 light-engine aircraft struck the building of the Russian Guards in Grozny.
In their turn, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued precision strikes throughout Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian military, 108 Russian kamikaze drones, and allegedly an S-300 missile, targeted the Ukrainian rear regions at night. 56 of them were allegedly shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems. The Ukrainian side confirmed damage an infrastructure facility, as well as apartment buildings and cars in different regions of Ukraine, but claimed that it was allegedly caused by the wreckage of downed drones. Thus, according to the Ukrainian military, the other 52 Russian drones missed their targets or ‘disappeared’.
