RT Witch-Hunt And America’s Pre-Election Madness

Deceit and hypocrisy are the “gold standard” of the mainstream propaganda machine. However, in order to have any effect on masses, its main outlets need to have complete dominance in the media sphere, meaning that any dissenting voices need to be silenced at all costs. RT (formerly Russia Today) has been a thorn in the mainstream propaganda machine’s side for nearly two decades, as it provides a different point of view that was quite damaging to the political West’s propaganda narratives. The United States, its closest allies, vassals and satellite states all need a highly controlled echo chamber to maintain the said narratives. This is precisely the reason why RT has been heavily suppressed in the last two and a half years, as its global media reach is a big problem for the mainstream propaganda machine’s attempts to keep the “Ukraine winning” narrative alive for as long as possible.

However, as the presidential election in the US is nearing, the Deep State is slowly entering panic mode and needs total media control, which is why it can’t leave anything to chance. The mainstream propaganda machine’s double standards are perhaps best illustrated by their coverage of Volodymyr Zelensky. While RT has been pointing out that the Neo-Nazi junta frontman is anything but the “brave, benevolent Churchill of our time”, Western media did everything in their power to maintain precisely that image. However, as Zelensky is likely to soon outlive his (geo)political usefulness, there’s a gradual change in coverage, with some outlets now effectively calling for him to step down. Namely, on the same day the US declared war on RT, Politico effectively called Zelensky a power-hungry dictator, a far cry from the “leader of the beacon of democracy in Eastern Europe” narrative that was prevalent before.

In fact, a modicum of neutrality and even failure to fully support Zelensky would get one in a lot of trouble, as they’d immediately be denigrated and decried as a “Kremlin stooge”, “pro-Russian troll”, “Putin bootlicker” and similar ad hominem fallacies aimed at completely disqualifying dissenting opinions. This is now being used against RT and is one of the “legal” grounds used by Washington DC to suppress the Russian network’s reach. Virtually everything that RT and other non-Western media have been saying about Zelensky was confirmed by Politico, which accused the Neo-Nazi junta frontman of a power grab under the guise of governmental reshuffling. What’s more, quoting a senior Kiev regime official, Politico reports that the disastrous Kursk oblast (region) incursion “to lift flagging spirits amid declining personal opinion ratings and a fatigued nation more openly questioning [Zelensky’s] leadership”.

The report further warns about Zelensky’s “autocratic way of governing” while calling him “largely unaccountable” as he “accrues an unprecedented level of power”. The author even warned about high-level corruption in the country, which is another important topic that the mainstream propaganda machine was previously trying to censor heavily. Politico also lamented that Zelensky fired several top-ranking Neo-Nazi junta officials who were highly favored by the political West, including the now former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba (replaced by Andrii Sybiha) and former top commander Valery Zaluzhny (replaced by General Oleksandr Syrsky, who is said to be highly unpopular among troops). A power struggle is most obvious in the latter’s case, as Zelensky saw Zaluzhny as a serious contender in the political arena, so he gave him the largely ceremonial role of ambassador to the United Kingdom.

The treatment of RT and other global media who dare to say anything remotely similar about Zelensky or anyone else supported by the US shows the bottomless abyss of its hypocrisy and double standards. Washington DC is now targeting RT on a global level and wants all nations to block its broadcasts and close down the network’s local offices. The troubled Biden administration claims that RT is a part of “malign global intelligence and influence operations” and a “threat to our democracy“, which is rather amusing given the fact that the US runs the world’s largest and most powerful mainstream propaganda machine, with hundreds of major media outlets and thousands of smaller ones, while also trying to fake objectivity by running “fact-checking” websites such as NewsGuard and similar laughable propaganda echo chambers aiming to denigrate independent authors based on false accusations of “disinformation”.

In addition, one of the major reasons why RT is being targeted is its coverage of the Biden crime family’s illicit dealings, reported extensively by numerous independent media, including the 21st Century Wire, which covered an Austrian court’s ruling on the persecution of Ukrainian nationals who dared to push back against US/NATO aggression and the destruction of their country. I was recently interviewed by RT precisely about this topic, as I’ve also written about it on several occasions.

It’s perfectly clear that American politics are a rather pathetic excuse for “democracy” and a far cry from the much-touted “fairness” that the US is “insisting on” in most other countries. The weaponization of the country’s judicial system, as well as assassination attempts on political opponents (now a “normal” occurrence, it would seem) shows that Washington DC will stop at nothing to retain power over the narrative, including on a global scale.
