Russia’s Rostec announced on July 18 that it had developed an adapter that would allow the Kornet system to fire the light 9M134 Bulat anti-tank guided missile (ATGM).
The adapter will allow the Kornet launcher to be loaded with four Bulat missiles at once, according to the state-owned corporation.
“The new ammunition increases the variability of the system’s use – now its typical targets include objects for which the power of the standard Kornet missile is excessive. Bulat is already undergoing a trial military operation,” Rostec said.
Bulat is especially designed to destroy unarmored, lightly armored and medium-armored vehicles, including those with dynamic protection installed.
The missile, which weighs just 6,5 kg, features the Kornet’s hallmark jam-proof laser beam riding guidance system. The maximum firing range of this missile is reported to be around 3,5 kilometers. Its tandem high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead can reportedly penetrate more than 250 mm of rolled homogeneous armour (RHA) behind explosive reactive armor (ERA).
Laser beam raiding missiles are nearly impossible to jam because they rely on a narrow, focused laser beam for guidance, making it challenging for countermeasures to disrupt the signal. The Kornet in particular uses a rare mounted sensor making it very much impossible to jam it.
Rostec said that the Bulats can be fired from the Kornet launcher either one at a time or in a salvo of two missiles at once.
It’s worth noting that the heaviest of the Kornet ATGMs, the 9M133M-2 Kornet-M, weights 31 kg. This version has a range of 8 kilometers and its tandem HEAT warhead can penetrate up to 1,300 mm of RHA behind ERA.
From the Israeli-Lebanese war of 2006 to the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the Kornet has proven to be the most lethal anti-tank system produced to date.

what happened to the “great summer offensive”…?
dumb orc bastads…heheheh
for the past 3 years the ukronazis and their 30 western backers have been ground down, bankrupted, impoverished and demilitarised. their economies are in a shambles and on the verge of collapse. their militaries have been left impotent and cannot even defeat the houthis and hamas. hence the desperate begging for a ceasefire from chumpo and us vassals. they are at the end of their rope. it is in the interests of russia/ china/ iran to keep ukraine going
indefinitely just as it is. the longer it goes on, the weaker the jewsa/ jewu/ jewk become. they cannot contemplate further aggression as long as ukraine continues. they don’t have the money or the weapons to do anything. russia is in no hurry – a forever war weakening all its enemies permanently and simultaneously. when your enemies are digging themselves deeper into a big hole, make sure they have plenty of shovels.
another golden opportunity for great returns please be more specific in identifying the relevant corporations stock market identity. it’s rude to be a tease.
