The military conflict between Russia and Ukraine is mostly taking place on the Ukrainian territory. The war has not spared the city of Dnipro (previously called Dnipropetrovsk), where several incidents have occurred in recent days.

On the evening of May 4, the Russian Armed Forces launched massive missile strikes against Ukraine’s military infrastructure as well as railways used for military supplies of the AFU grouping in Donbass.

One of the strikes targeted the Amur Bridge in the city of Dnipro. It was reported that there were two missiles in total, but one was intercepted by the Ukrainian air defense system.

The head of Ukrainian Railways, Alexander Kamyshyn, confirmed the shelling of the bridge. According to him there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

The footage shows the aftermath of shells landing on a railway bridge in Dnipropetrovsk. Notably, there were civilian cars on the bridge at the time of the strike.

According to the preliminary data, the missile hit the pillar. As a result, the bridge is damaged but not destroyed.

The bridge consists of two tiers: road and railway. The cargo transportation over the bridge is currently impossible.

The main reason for the strike on the railroad tracks was the Russia’s desire to hinder fuel and weapons supplies from Western countries supporting Ukraine. For the second day in a row, the strikes hit the Ukrainian transport infrastructure to make it more difficult to deliver weapons, fuel and ammunition from western Ukraine to the eastern front lines.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reportedly restored combat readiness of almost all the formations and military units that were involved in fighting in the Kiev region and and redeployed them to the left bank of the Dnieper River. At the moment, fighting continues along the entire front line. Russian forces managed to expand their control zone west of Velyka Novoselka to the village of Temirivka.

The Russian Air Force’s long-range aviation has recently struck important infrastructure facilities mainly located in western Ukraine. Among the targets there were 6 power substations, including those that ensure the operation of railway lines. Targets in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast were also hit.

Also 37 carloads of humanitarian aid from Poland, which were to be sent to Zaporizhzhia, were delivered to Dnipro. According to the local authorities, the goods were sent to Dnipropetrovsk for staffing and packaging of food kits. Local residents have made the assumption that some of the goods risk to be “lost” (stolen) and passed into the hands of private individuals for sale. Such cases have already been reported in various regions of Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defence has previously reported that numerous facts of illegal appropriation of humanitarian aid by officials of military administrations of various cities for its subsequent resale to the local population were recorded in the Zaporozhye region on the territory controlled by the Kiev regime.

In an attempt to rewrite the history of the Ukrainian people, monuments of World War II are dismantled in Dnipro. According to unconfirmed reports, several dozen monuments have already been removed.

Bridge Number 323 I think.

Ukraine is lucky it’s the Russians bombing just the pillars to empty it of traffic, then bomb it later empty. The US waits until the bridges are loaded with civilians then bomb them, like in ’99.

We could use our Tochka U’s to try to bomb the Crimea bridge but we prefer using them to kill the civilians who we insist remain Ukrainians.

Besides that, the b@stard Americans still won’t let us do it until they say so, saying it’ll mean nuclear war and that they’d prefer we all just die weakening Russia and that it’s a noble sacrifice. Woe is us, the slaves of perpetual servitude.

Nearly got Lewis Hamilton in the second video, he must have been doing 200 kilometers an hour, unless that was a baby Zircon dressed up as a car

Russia goes through all this trouble to protect civilians even under much harder conditions but then bombs a city bridge in the evening while there is still a lot of active civilian traffic??
This does not look good, they could have destroyed this bridge in 3 AM when there is the least amount of possibility of hurting civilians! Not like the bridge is going somewhere to hide, after over 2 months of war why do it like this?!

It was perfect shot. Zero civilian casualty, railroad disabled

Rosuke

It was just luck that no casualties occurred, and we should not leave it to luck.

Russian military always says, “Russia did not hurt civilians.”
Russian military should act on that statement.

Hmmm

Guess they decided to follow the ‘rules-based, international order’ methods of warfare.

I see some fire, lots of smoke but….no result shown.
Just some fireworks? Nothing really damaged?

I have seen several times on the Internet that Russians resent the “trend to erase the memory of the Soviet Union” by neighboring countries.

The Soviet Union did indeed defeat Nazi Germany. But the USSR committed many criminal acts to maintain its one-party dictatorship. I don’t know about Ukraine, but there is no sign of a Nazi resurgence, at least in the EU. They deny the Nazis and they deny the Soviet Union, there is nothing wrong with that.

Apparently Russians want respect, but if they want to be respected and approved by others, they should show respect and approval by others. Failing to make such efforts and resorting to force is what barbarians do.

Sorry man, when you landed from the moon ?

“Nothing wrong with that”…

In fact, it is a completely wrong, fallacious, misleading, false equivalence, which has a lot to do with the present decline of the political consciousness, in EU even more than in Ukraine.
Better going back to one’s books of history and philosophy, before using the word “dictatorship” in such a shallow fashion…

It is commendable to express concern for the possible surfacing of a dangerous, isolationist Russian “hubris”, but it must be done correctly…

Pete

Well, if the US etc behave barbarous for 20, 40 yrs….what else is left? Surrender?!?!?

LOL - Rosuke reading CIA tea leaves

‘respected and approved by others’????

Man, sounds like you were just hatched from some CIA NGO cutout from the late 90’s.

That horse left Russia’s barn long ago. Western hypocrisy and double-dealing saw to that.

Pamfil Military Academy

Not enough. The bridge is still operable. Need further work. Always I asked why russians don’t fire multiple rockets into the same target to destroy it by 1 hit.

The bridge now cannot be used for cargo transport due to its structural integrity been compromissed. It was done so in a way as to not hamper civilian traffic but also by not allowing it to be used as a logistical system by the AFU

GEOLOGISTS, is there a way to create an earthquake in Ukraine through conventional weapons or non nuclear ones?

Maybe in the transcarpathian regions.

Pete

Yes. Take a Sarmat or 2 maybe.
If its real….

Facts is Facts, Fiction is for Losers

You seem to think only Sarmats can evade or overwhelm defenses. A very deadly assumption.

Pete

It is the only option for an induced earthquke as asked, thats all.

Forget the nukes.

Waxing biblical here

Only God can do that and God is working on it. Give it time.

Pete

The bible god is gone. And Creator did its part.

All up to us now. And doing very badly.

No, there will be no aliens to help out.

And social cohesion between people?
Its gone.
Endgame.

Just fire and smoke, as usual.

Russian forces are advancing at 2 to 3 km per day along the front lines. Wounding or killing 1000 Ukrainian soldiers a day. Every day. Rain or shine. This will not end until DEATH INSURANCE CALLS THE CLOWN OF KIEV.

Russian commanders are late for battlefield isolation. All this should have been done in February…
They also should have gone down the Dnieper from north to south across Zaporozhe and cut the whole east Ukraine. Then this 2nd phase of operation would be much easier to conduct.

Ukraine military incompetent trying a false flag attack on bridge with Ukraine civilians. Russia would have blown up the whole bridge with Ukraine military convoy going across.
