Petro Poroshenko is going to hand the Ukrainian Armed Forces over 150 units of military equipment, which will be sent to participate in a special operation in Donbass. The news comes after the US Ambassador to Kiev announced new US military assistance to Ukraine in the coming days.
On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will give the country’s Armed Forces over 150 units of military equipment, which will be sent to participate in a special operation in the east of the country, Ukrainian Defense Minister, Stepan Poltorak, said on Friday.
“This hardware will be right away checked during exercises, and this equipment will right away go to the front,” Poltorak told journalists during a parade repetition for Ukrainian Independence Day in the center of Kiev on Friday.
“And this hardware [participating in the parade repetition] will be also sent for making up military units after the parade,” the minister added.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, US Ambassador to Kiev Geoffrey R. Pyatt announced new arrivals of US military assistance to Ukraine in the coming days.
“It is a fact that the US has provided US $600 million as an assistance to Ukraine for safety and security arrangements. And I am very proud of what has been achieved – our military exercises in Yavorov, modern weapons, and more than a thousand night vision devices. New deliveries will come in the coming days. Thanks to this assistance, many lives of Ukrainian soldiers were saved,” Pyatt said in an interview to Radio Svoboda.
At the same time the US ambassador also noted that Washington does not see the conflict settlement in Donbass through military means.
“We will rely on diplomacy to get rid of Russian troops in Donbass and ensure returning of the control over Crimea to Ukraine,” Pyatt said.
Meanwhile, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has started to prepare for a full-scale war with the pro-Kiev forces, which is expected at any day.
The report states that the US has provided more than a thousand night vision devices. So it’s bargain time on eBay coming up for these things, since the commanders of this war have certainly already stolen them.
Ukraine has never sent its conscripts into war with decent equipment. The pretext of war has always been the method of stealing from national monies.
We remember how Kolomoisky sent his soldiers into war with defective body armor, because he stole the good stuff. Do the Ukrainian soldiers also remember?
Ah, Ukraine, what tragedy. You are Russians, and forced to die at the hand of your brothers, who themselves have no taste for the action, but must so act.
i know Putin has more patience than i do, but how ridiculous can this get? why cant Russia give the DPR and LPR 150 pieces of military hardware? because american media would scream about it? really?
they need 150 kornet launchers. just give them something.
I hear that cold, squally, piercing Northern wind is blowing in Debaltsevo – a major railway station. There are almost frosts in Debaltsevo. The Northern wind is so strong that it apparently lifted lots of weapons in Russia and brought them to Debaltsevo.
It’s time to ask. Who is this Poroshenko? And to where do his loyalties really lay?
