The KA52 Alligator is the newest attack chopper in the russian Army. Entered service not a long time ago. The production is slow , it is a sofisticated piece of armament. So to send 25 of those to Syria would let the russian Army outside Syria without this weapon. But they could send more KA50, Mi-24 and Mi-28 , they have them plenty in stock.

A systems check , find the weak spots , tune them up to par on following production or
Quality Control . Beyond that its great to see that Dier Ezzor logistics is a step closer .

Thats realy cool…Give them hell…Love it when the russians flex their power…We need those S400 active active and ready to shoot down anything that attack the syrian army as you stated a week ago..No more fooling around as things get serious down there..

Leon De Elias

Yeah something to keep the Terrorist Yanks and ISISraelis at shore..

Justin Ryan

More than just s400’s! The US can saturate the skies with cruise missiles!
Also need, BUK-M2’s and 3’s.
Pantsir s1’s and 2’s
Need some really good Electronic warfare jamming tech to create an aerial denial bubble!
Some extra SU-35’s (say another 8)
Another 8 SU-30MKi’s
Another 8 SU-27’s
This will keep the air safe!
The Syrians need to be ready for air battle also!

These attack ”Sharks” are fricking scary..I love the look of them..Really dominating and scary..The ISIS got to love them too..

You remeber what the Afghans told 30 years ago. They said that the sowjet army could be dealt with , ok . But what caused havoc in their lines was the Mi-24 . They said that it was a flying tank. Absoluyely impossible to deal with from the underside. The only way they could deal with machineguns a Mi-24 was from above trying to hit the rotorhead-mechanics.
(In Syria you don´t have high mountains and steep valleys to try this trick)

Western Syria is mostly under government control though. The open deserts of eastern Syria are slaughter-fields for any FSA/ISIS scum caught in the open.

Miguel Redondo

You are right , but as Snow Catzor mentioned , Western Syria now is not the main battlefield.

US supplied stinger missiles is what aided the Taliban against the Soviets! In this war its the anti-tank missile!
But the Russian SUPPOSEDLY have EW tech that can deny any lock on radars or infra red seeking or satellite imagery and gps. But this will only be used in an all out war with the US!

Leon De Elias

I only try to imagine the Mi28 or the KA52 how they are mfing dangerous..
