The Philippine Military announced on Monday that the battle for Marawi will be over in October. According to the statement, clashes with ISIS will be over within few days, but a full-scale rehabilitation will start in October.

“On 12 December 2016, in a speech before the Wallace Business Forum Dinner, Duterte dared the Maute group to attack Marawi, stating: “Because they (the Maute group) threatened to go down from the mountains to burn down Marawi? Go ahead, be my guest. We will wait for you there. Walang problema (No problem).”
