The Syrian Armed Forces and paramilitary National Defense Forces stormed, today evening, the strategic Palmyra airbase located to the west of the city (Al-Masdar reported). Government troops blitzed the area from Tal Al-Sukari “Tal ‘Amariyah’ which was recaptured earlier this day, killing scores of ISIS militants who retreated to Al-Sukhna to the west. A field reported who is accompanying the Army told Al-Masdar that the area is being mopped up with more IEDs being dismantled by the engineering units.
