Pakistan carried out a series of strikes on what it said were separatist militant hideouts inside Iran on January 18, just two days after the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked the strongholds of a terrorist-designated group in Pakistani territory.
In a statement, Islamabad’s Foreign Ministry said that the military has launched a “series of highly coordinated and specifically targeted precision military strikes” in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan as part of an operation.
A “number” of militants were killed during the operation, which was called “Marg Bar Sarmachar” -a phrase which loosely translates to “death to the guerrilla fighters”-, according to the ministry.
“Over the last several years, in our engagements with Iran, Pakistan has consistently shared its serious concerns about the safe havens and sanctuaries enjoyed by Pakistani origin terrorists calling themselves ‘Sarmachars’ on the ungoverned spaces inside Iran. Pakistan also shared multiple dossiers with concrete evidence of the presence and activities of these terrorists,” the ministry said.
“However, because of lack of action on our serious concerns, these so-called Sarmachars continued to spill the blood of innocent Pakistanis with impunity. This morning’s action was taken in light of credible intelligence of impending large-scale terrorist activities by these Sarmachars. This action is a manifestation of Pakistan’s unflinching resolve to protect and defend its national security against all threats.”
The ministry added that it “fully respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” and that the “sole objective of today’s act was in pursuit of Pakistan’s own security and national interest which is paramount and cannot be compromised.”
Sistan and Baluchistan province’s deputy governor Alireza Marhamati told Iranian state media that at least seven people were killed following blasts and that the dead included three women and four children, who were all foreign citizens.
“At 4:30 a.m. explosions were heard in a border village, several missiles were fired at the village,” Marhamati said.
The deputy governor said another explosion took place near the city of Saravan, but there were no casualties from that blast.
Tehran demanded “an immediate explanation” from Pakistan over the strikes, Iranian state-aligned Tasnim news agency reported, citing an official.
The Pakistani attack came just two days after the IRGC launched strikes using “drones and missiles” against Jaish al-Adl, a terrorist-designated separatists militant group, near Panjgur city in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan, bordering Iran. Tehran has accused the Jaish al-Adl of multiple attacks in the past.
Pakistan reacted to the Iranian strikes, which killed two children and injured three others, by calling it “unacceptable” and said the country reserves the right to respond to this “illegal act”.
While tensions between Pakistan and Iran are rising, a confrontation remains highly unlikely. The two countries will likely seek de-escalation through diplomatic means.

paxtan should send 90% of their soldiers as a column to fight the taliban they have in their own country. oh wait, they are supporting and housing them better than their own people, what a shock.
what about all those paxtani solely operational f-16s? are they in junk or something? i have heard those 75-100 fighter jets are the only operational ones, what about chengdus j-xs? why isn’t paxtan showing their “true mighty” power as they always exhibit and demonstrate with their “army, army.”?
i also forgot their other arsenal and troublesome neighbors, india, afg and iran. how can pak risk sending 90% of their entire armed forces without the risk of these 3 invading? i mean seriously, could paxtan or even india have the ample to supply their units with logistics? 80-90% of all wars are logistics.
irish say: “if two neighbours are fighting, it means an english man visited one of them the day before”
there’s a saying “if you see two fishes fighting, know that a brit must have passed by.”
pakis are now worry about iran attacks on its soil…but at the same time they didnt say anything about thousands of us attacks in these past years which have caused the killing of hundred of pakistani civilians
pakistan is a poor country and a lot of pakistani baloch are in iran now days because of suffering from hunger and poverty and what not, not to mention 9 million afghani refugees. iran has no desire to attack a poor muzlim country like pakistan which is already bankrupt. iran needs to set up better border controls and manage its eastern borders well. that alone will stop 99% of the terrorism.
pakistan is a us and zionist puppet and a bankrupt terrorist failed state. iran needs to totally shut down the border and not allow a single truck or person through. pakistan is on the verge of collapse but doing us bidding against iran and the axis of resistance.
indeed it is.
iran poking pakistan is a pussy move. now iran cannot defend a retaliatory rocket attack from pakistan. uulul
pakistan retaliatory attack was killing 9 pakistanis lol.
also, good one, iran showed a whole video of what they hit in 4k, it was indeed a terrorists military camp which pakistan did nothing after years of iran saying to stop them.
they are dong each other a favour. this was preplanned. they would not strike each other’s territory without first getting permission.
i was thinking the same thing, lol.
what a waste of resources… those bombings are expensive. why not clwan shots, sniper teams, bang-bang, head shot… no buildings damaged, no wounded, just clean death.
that would be seen as invading another country buddy. also, good luck sending troops to pakistan or iran without them getting killed.
kurdish terrorists did that and irgc killed them before entering iran.
also, iran police and irgc were fighting those terrorists from pakistan before…
the claims from pakistan is deadass just lies. if you don’t believe me, guess what, iran showed what they hit, it was a terrorist training camp – iran show it.
yes, pakistan use terrorists ohhh what a surprise huh. pakistan fangirl over turkey and wahhabis – yeah they use and support terrorists as well. the isi and pakistan military mainly the air force know how good the use of terrorists is against other countries and yeah they make money from it (ksa, usa, qatar all pay pakistan).
don’t you love it?
turkey still send goods to israel and they even make idf uniforms – pakistan doing nothing for palestine – ksa doing nothing for palestine – uae made a deal with israel – egypt is bitch – jordan is owned by us+uk and there you have it people.
it is fuked up, shi’a muslims helping sunnis more than sunnis helping sunnis. hezbollah is shia, the houthi movement officially known as ansar allah is a shia islamist political, iran shia country, iraq mainly shia – like wtf.
remember, turkey, ksa, uae, and egypt attack palestine for fighting back against settlers. they all blame palestinians for fighting back…. like holy, yet i see egyptian and turkish cunts try to talk to me, as if they done anything all these years.
oh don’t get me start on these pakistani apes….riding turkey dick and talking.
