Late on March 14, government forces, led by the Republican Guard and the Tiger Forces, liberated the Al-Ahlam food factory and the army station in the area south of Beit Sawa in Eastern Ghouta from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and Faylaq al-Rahman. The advance followed a limited success in Jisrin where government troops had captured a half of the town.
On March 15, the Republican Guard, the Tiger Forces and other pro-government factions continued developing momentum in the southern part of Eastern Ghouta.
Additionally, fighting continued in the idustrial area near the militant-held town of Douma in the northern part of Eastern Ghouta. Government troops attempted to expand the gains achieved there on March 14.

On March 14, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 437 civilians had been evacuateed from the twon of Douma to the government-held area via humanitarian corridors. On March 15, aconvoy of international humanitarian organizations will deliver 137 tonnes of food supplies to the area. Another group of civilians is also set to leave the militant-held part of Eastern Ghouta to the government-held area.

You are welcome, they probably are. They have no legs to stand on in the UN now, civilians are leaving en masse, give it a little while and there would be no civilians in East Ghouta. Imagine all the information that SAA would get from the liberated peoples, voluntarily. It would help them in all fronts after this is done and dusted, Republican Guard can deal with south Damascus while the rest focus on Dara’a and Idlib.
