Over 200 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in airstrikes in the Mosul neighborhood of al-Jadida, the Rudaw Media Network reported on Thursday.

130 people have been killed in one house in the neighborhood and about 100 others inside another, the media network reported citing its correspondent.

“Some of the dead were taking shelter inside the homes,” Rudaw’s correspondent reported from the ground.

The airstrikes were most likely delivered by the US-led coalition which had dramatically increased airstrikes against targets in Mosul amid a lack of progress of Iraqi forces in the battle against the ISIS terrorist group.

Let’s say better that this massive airstrikes aim to stop the Iraqi advance on Isis like a wall of fire between Iraqis and Isis that have time to do what?

This is okay, and will totally not be picked up by major news networks. Because after all, when civilians die from Western airstrikes its collateral damage. When civilians die from Russian airstrikes its a warcrime and indiscriminate targeting of civilians. After all, locals from ‘rebel controlled’ territory said so. So it must be true.

I wish the writers used English and wrote “Over 200 People Killed in Mosul by US bombers”. Is it too much to ask?
