Late on March 7, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) launched a large-scale operation against targets in the eastern and southern regions of Saudi Arabia.

Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Yemeni group, said that a total of 14 suicide drones and six missiles were used in the operation codenamed “Deterrent Balance 6.”

Ten Samad-3 suicide drone and a Zulfiqar ballistic missile were launched at Saudi Arabia’s major oil port, Ras Tanura, on the Persian Gulf. Key facilities of the Kingdom’s oil giant Aramco are located there. Unspecified targets in the nearby city of Dammam were also hit.

The Houthis also launched 4 Qasef-2K suicide drones and six Badir artillery rockets at targets in the southern Saudi provinces of ‘Asir and Jizan.

“We promise the Saudi regime harmful and painful operations as long as it continues its aggression and siege on our country,” Brig. Gen. Sari said in a statement.

The operation was apparently a success. The Saudi-led coalition announced the interception of “two missiles” only. Furthermore, videos from Saudi Arabia showed explosions near Ras Tanura and Dammam.

Earlier today, the Saudi-led coalition carried out a series of airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and other Houthis-held areas. Four civilians, including two children, were injured in the airstrikes. The attack clearly failed to deter the Houthis.

Operation Deterrent Balance 6 is the most recent in a series of large-scale drone and missile attacks by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia.

  • Operation Deterrent Balance 1 targeted the Shaybah super-giant oil field in southeast Saudi Arabia on August 17 of 2019.
  • Operation Deterrent Balance 2 targeted two strategic oil facilities in the eastern Saudi areas of Buqayq and Khurais on September 14 of 2019.
  • Operation Deterrent Balance 3 targeted an oil facility of Aramco as well as “sensitive targets” in the western Saudi city of Yanbu on February 21 of 2020.
  • Operation Deterrent Balance 4 targeted the headquarters of the Saudi Defense Ministry, intelligence facilities, King Salman Air Base and other positions in Riyadh and the southern provinces of Jizan and Najran on June 23 of 2020.
  • Operation Deterrent Balance 5 targeted military positions in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, as well as in the Kingdom’s southern cities of Abha and Khamis Mushait on February 28 of 2021.

A few hours earlier, the Houthis announced that they had shot down a Saudi Vestel Karayel combat drone over the northern Yemeni province of al-Jawf with an anti-aircraft missile.

Five years into the war, the Houthis appear to be stronger and bolder than ever. The Saudi-led coalition has failed to achieve any of its key goals in Yemen and appears to be incapable of deterring the Houthis.

The evil empire has never been able to create effective anti-missile systems, for the cult of money the result has always been to steal taxpayers’ money and no more, the patriots were not able to intercept Saddam’s Scuds , they still managed to impose them on all the slaves of the evil empire, since then nothing has changed, everything costs more but nothing works, if they are really crazy enough to challenge Iran it will be fun.

Jesus

It kind of makes you wonder how good the Aegis air defense is using SM6 and SM3 missiles.

Most US weapons are expensive Hollywood props. The abject failure of the $2 trillion F-35 is an epic disaster of Biblical proportions.

Jesus

30-40 years ago US produced good weapons, surface to air defenses were always subpar since US strategic doctrine relied on air power for offense and defense.
Israeli weapon capabilities mirror that old the US, hyping BS to sell high priced junk, hoping they will not be used in real combat.

Frank

Frankly, these attacks will only get worse as the Saudi cowards are stuck in a quagmire and being bankrupted by MBS insane war. Their economy is in tatters, they are running deficits and now have to borrow money and even postpone the Aramco IPO as no one was interested.

Ashok Varma

Even the puppet Saudi and Emirati propped up “Southern Transitional Council” has accepted defeat,

Yemen’s Southern Transitional Council warns of Marib falling to Houthis, calls on Biden to end war and accept the Ansarallah as the legitimate government as they control most of the populated areas. The US and Zionists are now fully supporting alCIAda headchoppers in Yemen.

In reality they are the most 30% in everything that they pretend and that’s also the maximum average its around 24%

masaf replacement for iranian forces g3 has high chance to be integrated
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Eg3opp87C4

Frank

Their are too million of surplus G3 as the Masaf is rapidly being introduced. So expect a lot of G3 in Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Masaf (battle) is a light weapon high tensile composite assault rifle with 51 in 7.62 mm caliber whose effective range is 800 meters for day sight and 600 meter for thermal sights..

farbat

masaf will show the whole build soon meaning the internals its just a matter of two weeks or so

farbat

masaf will also have several body armors and other products

Frank

All Iranian military personnel and their allies must have standard Kevlar body armor as it cuts the casualty rate by 60%.

Ashok Varma

Impressive modern rifle. The Pakistanis and Turks also have G-3, so they are probably looking to replace them too. They should buy the Iranian Masaf.

RAS TANURA. Outstanding, Houthi bros! Surprising the Saudi chimps even admitted it was hit – Saudi Arabia has the most fascist, censored media in the world (second only to the U.S.). And Ras Tanura? Well, that’s kind of important to the head-choppers. Well, was

Saudi Arabia Is On The Brink Of Losing Control Of oil markets as daily drone attacks undermine its paper thin security. Analysts expect larger Saudi oil facilities at Ras Tanura will be targeted next as the precision of Yemeni missiles and drones grows.

Timed for monday when the news media cycle can’t ignore it.

From Al Arabiya….”Both attacks did not result in any injury or loss of life or property,
authorities from Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry confirmed.” Then says…”The Ras Tanura port in the east of Saudi Arabia is a major oil
operations center for oil giant Saudi Aramco. was shut on Monday because
of poor visibility and strong winds.” LOL.
