North Korean, US Leaders Prepare For June 10 Summit In Singapore

On May 10, US President Donald Trump announced that he would meet North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un on June 10 in Singapore.

It will be the second important summit following the April 27 inter-Korean meeting that resulted in a joint declaration aiming peace and denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

Amid the upcoming North Korean-US summit, Kim held a series of important meetings.

On May 3, Kim met State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi in Pyongyang to discuss bilateral cooperation.

On May 7-8, North Korean Supreme Leader visited China to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Dalian, northern China, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported. According to Xinhua, Kim came to China “hoping to strengthen strategic communication and cooperation with China, deepen DPRK-China friendship, and promote regional peace and stability”.

The leaders discussed the denuclearization’s issue as Kim reemphasized his willing to eliminate the nuclear arsenal of North Korea:

“As long as relevant parties abolish their hostile policies and remove security threats against the DPRK, there is no need for the DPRK to be a nuclear state and denuclearization can be realized.”

Xi pointed out the readiness to cooperate with North Korea to pursue “stability in the region”:

“China is willing to continue to work with all relevant parties and play an active role in comprehensively advancing the process of peaceful resolution of the peninsula issue through dialogue, and realizing long-term peace and stability in the region.”

Following this meeting, Trump wrote at his twitter, that he would talk by phone with Xi about the situation on the Korean peninsula, stressing “relationships and trust are building”.

On May 9, Kim held a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss the issues of the detained US citizens in North Korea. North Korean Leader “gave an order of the chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission on granting amnesty to them for their repatriation”, according to the official site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea.

Later on May 9, Trump announced that Pompeo was returning to the USA accompanied by “3 gentlemen” Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak Song and Tony Kim that had been detained in North Korea because of anti-state activities.

On May 10, after Donald Trump met the US citizens, he thanked North Korean Leader. The White House also expressed congratulations and thanks in a statement:

“”President Trump appreciates leader Kim Jong Un’s action to release these American citizens, and views this as a positive gesture of goodwill. The three Americans appear to be in good condition and were all able to walk on the plane without assistance.”

This move came in the framework of the ongoing diplomatic negotiations between North Korean and the USA, which will result in a historical summit in Singapore. According to the British newspaper The Independent, commenting the denuclearization as the issue of the becoming meeting, Trump said:

“We will see if we can do something that people did not think was going to happen for many, many years and a lot of bad things could have happened in between.”

When will this farce be over? America will never allow peace on the Korean peninsula

Serious

“to discuss bilateral cooperation”. Very funny. people will never understand.

That’s why I hate dictators and I love freedom and I love people who love freedom.

It doesn’t worth to live without freedom. Life is shit, so if you can’t even think freely and say what you think, life becomes totally worthless.

Barba_Papa

The freedom to starve is no freedom at all.

A democracy that cannot feed its people, or secure their well being is just one election or revolution away from becoming a dictatorship. People actually like things like having a job, getting paid regularly and coming to a home and knowing there will be dinner a hell of a lot more then the freedom to say whatever they want.

And lets face it, as long as most people enjoy a life of material comfort they generally do not feel the need to complain about whoever is in charge. It’s not for nothing that when an economy is booming the ruling government is pretty much guaranteed to win the next election.

Organizing things not to starve, not to be killed by the neighbors, ….. is the duty of people. That’s why people must care about who is in charge because, in the west, they in deny. This system will not continue forever. It will break. The bank and insurance (theft) system will collapse ad it will be very hard especially when there will be no more unpolluted water and unpolluted fields with overpopulation.

Serious

Trump prefers to discuss with dictators like Kim or the king of Saudi Arabia rather than to speak with democratically elected leaders in Korea and Saudi Arabia.
That’s why, I hate literrally dictators.

Dictators and liers are always a deception.

To me that ‘place’ comes like Siberia & Antarctica..not to sure if actually exists as touted

Publicly DPRK is making lots of concessions … that means the USA’s consessions are being made behind closed doors!
