On Sunday, North Korea warned from the risks posed by the upcoming US-South Korean war games. Moreover, North Korea claimed that the war-games might turn into a real war.

“The joint exercise is the most explicit expression of hostility against us, and no one can guarantee that the exercise won’t evolve into actual fighting,” the official North Korean Rodong Sinmun newspaper said.

The US-South Korean war-games “Ulchi Freedom Guardian” will begin on August 21. 40,000 soldiers from the US and the South Korean Armed Forces will participate in in the war games.

On July 28, North Korea launched its fourth long range ballistic missile this year from Chagang Province.. The US and North Korea responded with announcing a start of the live-fire exercise using surface-to-surface missiles.

Furthermore, on August 8, North Korea threatened to fire four intermediate range missiles at the waters around Guam island as a warning shot against the US id the US continue to fly its bombers deployed in Guam airbase over South Korea.

If North Korea respond to the US-Korean war-games with another missile test, the situation in the Korean peninsula might indeed heat up to a dangerous lever. US President Donald Trump had threatened North Korea with “fire and fury” after the July 28 missile test.
