Russian troops have achieved another important victory with the liberation of the village of Tarasovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, marking stable progress in their offensive toward Konstantinovka, one of the key Ukrainian strongholds in the Donbass. The advance comes after a period of relative calm on this sector of the front, with Russian forces now demonstrating increased operational tempo across multiple directions.

On april 23, the Russian Defense Ministry officially confirmed the liberation of Tarasovka, located east of the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration. This settlement forms part of the left flank of what military analysts describe as a “pocket” between Pokrovsk and Toretsk (formerly Krasnoarmeysk and Dzerzhinsk). Amid Russian advances noted in the area since mid-April, the victory in Tarasovka represents a crucial step in the broader offensive operation.

Russian forces have achieved additional successes southeast of Konstantinovka. Russian troops have reached the outskirts of Staraya Nikolaevka, with reports of their partial control of the settlement. They advanced south of Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk), reaching the edges of Novospasskoye, secured their strongholds west of Nelepovka and Leonidovka.

Russian units are now advancing along three main axes around the strategically vital Konstantinovka:

  1. From the newly liberated Tarasovka in the southwest

  2. Supporting assault groups moving from Toretsk

  3. Maintaining pressure from the Chasiv Yar direction

The operation aims to create converging attack vectors on Konstantinovka, whose capture would open the path to Druzhkivka and ultimately the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.

Ukrainian forces are scrambling to reinforce positions as Russian pressure threatens to collapse their defensive lines in the sector. The renewed offensive follows the Easter temporary truce, with Russian forces now advancing across multiple sectors of the front. Ukrainian attempts at counterattacks near Sukhaya Balka were repelled, allowing Russian units to consolidate their gains.

this is old news and some of it is wrong info. for two examples, georgelin died in an accident in the alps. potts died in an aircraft crash in maryland usa.

Wallter

sure – both died more than likely in ukraine but authorities prefer to hide the truth and claim they died elsewhere, in their respective homecountries!
