New Satellite Images Show Impact Of Israeli Strikes On Damascus Airport

On February 7, the Aurora Intel Twitter account shared new satellite images showing the impact of the recent Israeli strikes on Damascus International Airport.

Damascus International Airport was one of several targets struck by the Israeli Defense Forces in the late hours of February 3. The strikes reportedly hit an Iranian weapons shipment that arrived on the same day.

The images revealed that the strikes destroyed a building in the airport’s southern section and damaged the runway itself as well as an apron leading to the targeted building.

A recent report by the London-based New Arab revealed that the Israeli strikes also targeted the main base of the 165th Regiments, one of the Syrian Arab Army 1st Corps formations. The base is located near the district of al-Kiswah south of Damascus.

The recent Israeli strikes didn’t result in any human losses. However, the January 22 airstrikes on Hama killed an entire family of four.

These strikes were a part of Israel’s “Campaign Between the Wars,” that’s meant to push Iranian forces out of Syria and to prevent Tehran allies from acquiring advanced weapons systems.

Doesn’t look like much really.

Jens Holm

This poor guy is not in a mentally sound state and just posts out of lonely desperation. Ignore him and deprive him of oxygen.

Besides being a crime, it is also an admission of Zionist failure and inability to conduct a successful long range missile strike. There is no visible damage and that means that in order to avoid the very effective Syrian and Iranian air defences they have resorted to firing small warhead stand off ground missiles from distance and even they being shot down or missing their intended targets. It is a glaring failure as visual evidence confirms.

The only possible way to deter Iranian buildup in Syria is for the Zionist regime to launch an costly and impossible land invasion of Syria, the longer Israel waits to confront the growing threat posed by the forces arrayed against it, the more difficult such a conflict will become and the stronger its adversaries will be. Tel Aviv is particularly cautious and casualty averse when facing Iran and its allies, with the Israeli military having
suffered the only humiliating defeat in its history to the Iranian aligned militia Hezbollah in 2006.

The legendary Shia militia deployed just a small fraction of the power and advanced weaponry that Iranian aligned groups can put to the field today. Time strongly favors Iran’s side, and Tehran will be content to built up its forces for years before initiating an open conflict – a fact the Israeli leadership is well aware of. It is only in light of this that the recent luke warm cosmetic action of Israel’s armed forces to undermine Iranian deployments near its borders, which include carrying out seemingly desperate missile strikes on Syrian territory, can be fully understood.

Ashok Varma

There is no way the Zionists have the guts, capability or even the desire to get involved in a grueling land war with Iranians and their allies. Iran has called their bluff and now these cosmetic “strikes” for western consumption are not even working as Syrians shoot down most of the stand off missiles and hand them over to the Iranians for examination and reverse engineering.

Ashok Varma

The real issue is Israeli exposure as a paper tiger and worthless weapons. Israel sold India SPICE dud bombs at inflated costs and they also all failed during the IAF Balakot strike, which cost India two jets and helicopter. Israel’s myth was built around inept Arab armies like Egyptians, but now is facing a determined Iran and its allies, so the Zionists are really doddering like fools. Besides killing sleeping women and children in Syria, the Zionist have not achieved anything besides humiliation as the stated loud and hollow goal was the “expulsion of Iran from Syria” back in 2012. Now a decade later Iran is at the peak of its power and firmly entrenched in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

Zios are desperate these days. They try to look strong, but they only show they are afraid shitless.

Jens Holm

Its the same. People like You expect they are like You. They are not.

By that You are wrong and wrong and a no learner. You even try to pretend You are supported by many. You are not.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Condor

Even acknowledging malfunctioning BOTS gives them credence. Best is to ignore them.

John Wallace

Pity the lobotomy didn’t start at one shoulder and end at the other.

Thats was a failed attack( all missile were shot down) but pro oposition sources always claim the oposite or exagerate!…I remember when they told that a warehouse in Hama was hit and in fact it was a civilian house as consecuence that the guide bomb was hit and fell on ground killing a family..the same things have happened many times causing damage in Civilians houses.

Frank

Frankly, even house fires in my neighborhood do more damage. This is quite a stark show of Zionist impotence and ineffectiveness. Laughable really.

Just Me

Sure looks like an epic failure.

John Mason

An attack on International Airports is a violation of the UN Charter and a war crime. ICC should investigate into this and if the jews carry on about being anti-Semitic then charge them for being anti-Human and racists. When is enough going to be enough? Those Russian S300 are just for show.

Ashok Varma

Iran should be deploying its own air defence systems in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

This is the satellite imaging technology that I use for running remote wilderness ET/ED contact ops. Which I’m in the process of augmenting with drone technology.

RichardD

This is 2021 satellite image data of the runway in question showing no damage.

Condor

What are the inept Zionists using? cherry bombs.

Rhodium 10

Accord oposition and pro israeli sources that airport have been attacked along past years no less than 100 times and have been destroyed another 100 times…

Just Me

They have also been “expelling Iran from Syria” for better part of a decade so far, to no avail.

This is 2021 satellite image data of the building in question showing no damage.

Condor

What have they exactly hit? this is very poor show for our tax dollars. Israel is even worse than the Saudis.

RichardD

I installed Google Earth Pro on my workstation to get more in depth data. The most recent picture in their database for the airport is dated 11/18/2019. So it looks like the copyright doesn’t reflect the image date.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Bombed runways and coincidentally syrialiveuamaps reported this,

“Two of Iran’s 747-200 freighters visited Damascus, Syria today: Qeshm Fars Air EP-FAB as QFZ9951, first delivered 1991, Iran Air Force/Saha Airlines/Caspian Airlines 4-8113/ EP-SHB as CPN7961, first delivered 14 years earlier: in 1977”.

“Fars Air Qeshm 747 EP-FAB en route to Syria from Tehran”.

Could that explain the bombed runways, did they hit their targets or miss?
