UPD: Dear friends, the original article contained a mistake. This is the AK-103 assault rifle (a derivative of the AK-74M chambered for the 7.62×
Units of the Russian Special Forces, operating in Syria, are armed with the most modern small arms, the AK-74M3 Kalashnikov assault rifles. The AK-74M3 was captured on a video, showing actions of the Russian Special Operations Forces in the area of Palmyra. The video was filmed by videographers of the Center for Special Assignments of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
The one-and-a-half-minute video includes scenes of destruction of terrorists’ infantry and vehicles, equipped with weapons, hitting of a bomb-laden vehicle with a guided missile, fired from a portable system, support for a ground operation, provided by attack helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, inspection and demining of facilities, cleared of terrorists.
The AK-74M3 was developed specifically for the Permyachka-M personal armor system. It is known that initially the assault rifle is equipped with a laser target designator and the GP-34 rifle-attached grenade launcher. A system of data transfer from the assault rifle to a helmet’s monocular through Bluetooth is also being developed. Due to innovations the assault rifle allows to efficiently fire with 5.45-mm bullets at a distance of up to one kilometer. Now, Russian troops test the AK-74M3 as a part of the newest Russian battle suit of a ‘soldier of the future’ – the Ratnik.
That is not a AK-74M3.It is a AK-103 with tactical accessories.It is 7.62×39 rifle.
if you mean the one in the pic, you’re right, it’s 7.62×39 cartridges in the magazine. The one held by the soldier at the start of the vid though, i’m not sure
The one in the picture. For the one in the video I am not sure either.

the man on the left has a 5.45 AK, you can spot the different (Shorter and less curved) magazine in respect to the center one who has a 7.62×39 weapon. But my ability to recognize the different models of the newer AKs stops here – in fact iirc the weapons are pretty much alike, and being also very customizable it’s very difficult to tell one from another.
The man on the left has a standard 7.62×39 Russian Bakelite magazine. The man in the middle has a 40 round Bulgarian type 7.62×39 magazine.
Syria needs these better rifles by the thousands, so they can liberate the heart of the terrorist incursion, the Golan Heights! To liberate their lands from the Turkish-Israel alliance, Syrians and civilian militias needs good small arms to push the supreme-bigots out!

can you help me on how could I publish here a vid about my favorite football team? I mean, how could I find a connection between my team and these rifles so that people would read about that team on this site? you seem to be good at this.
Just make up a story that one of the star players is in illegal possession of one.
I will watch the video if its not to long. I have a short attention span. :-)
yea syria needs the latest and greatest to really stand on their own and break necks and cash checks lol
That is an AK-103 Zenitco handguard and other upgrades, NOT 74M3
Yep you right, I believe 74m3 had upper receiver covered with rail, without need to use rail mod over it
Rifle at the start of the video is an Ak74M3. Rifle at the end of the video is either an Ak103 or Ak104 7.62x39mm. Anyway this is not a new modification of either type. This modification of the basic has been in use in one mark or the other since around 2010 or earlier. I’d like to see the Ak15 and Rpk16 in action soon. Another weapon I’d like to see is the A-545 and A-762.
Equipping soldiers with bluetooth is like killing them. Any simple device such as a “personnel rocket”, can be set to look up bluetooth
