NDF Holds Counter-Raids Against Terrorist Forces in Northern Homs

Counter-raids against the concentrated forces of terrorists, who were preparing to carry out attacks in northern Homs, were held by the Syrian National Defense Forces (NDF). As result, a number of terrorists were killed, and their military hardware was destroyed.

A successful operation against positions of a concentrated terrorist group was carried out by units of the NDF near Kafr Nan. The most part of terrorists of the group lost their lives during the battle. NDF soldiers also caused major damage to their military hardware and equipment during the attack.

On Friday, it was also reported that an attack of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group on positions of the Syrian Arab Army and the NDF in gas-rich regions in eastern Homs was repulsed by the pro-government forces.

IS terrorists tried to break through positions of the Syrian Army in al-Sha’er Gas Fields, but were repelled by Syrian soldiers and NDF fighters. As result, at least 30 terrorists were killed. According to reports, Russian helicopters played a major role in the repelling of this attack.

Despite the bravura statements, the situation in the province of Homs remains tense. As for today, it is virtually the second most important front after Aleppo.
