Moscow Says Result Of Upcoming Russian-US-Israeli Meeting In Jerusalem Could Stabilize Syria

The results of the upcoming Russian-US-Israeli meeting could stabilize the situation in Syria and the entire Middle East, Yevgeny Anoshin, a spokesman for the secretary of the Russian Security Council, said on June 19.

Russia’s Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev, US National Security Advisor John Bolton, and Israel’s National Security Advisor Meir Ben-Shabba  will lead the meeting which is set to be held in the city of Jerusalem next week.

“We hope our joint work will yield common practical steps aimed at stabilizing the situation in Syria and the entire Middle East,” Anoshin said, according to the Russian news agency, TASS.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared the same optimistic view on the meeting. During a recent memorial ceremony in Jaffa the Israeli PM said that the meeting is “very important for the stability of the Middle East during these turbulent times.”

Earlier this month, Asharq al-Awsat reported that the US will offer a new deal on Syria for Russia. According to the London-based newspaper, under the deal Washington will lift sanctions of Damascus and recognize the legitimacy of the current government there, in exchange for several measures that would “minimize” Iran influence in the war-torn country and boost the political process.

Russia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Vershinin, had denied Aharq al-Awsat’s claims. On June 6, Vershinin said that Moscow is not discussing any deals on Syria with Washington or Tel Aviv.

While the chances of reaching a “deal” on Syria during the Jerusalem meeting remain low. Russia, the U.S. and Israel could reach a kind of  understanding regarding several issues related to Syria during, such as the Iranian military presence and the situation in Greater Idlib.

The goal of the US and Israel has been to destabilise Syria. I would not hold my breath over this one.

dutchnational

I think Israeli goals and US goals are more limited. Keep Iran away from Golan, keep Hezbollah away, no landbridge for Iran and protect the kurds and SDF from both Turkey and Assad. Return of refugees.

1691

Syria has one goal: to clean its land from the jews and their proxies. They are almost there.

Free man

The common interest of Russia, the US and Israel is that the Iranian forces will leave Syria.
Islamic jihadists, Shiites and Sunnis, are a source of instability wherever they are.

Antipodean58

What basis for your assertion that Russia wants the Iranian’s out? Obviously, the US and Israel do because the only want their own Islamic jihadis in Syria so that they may continue their ongoing destabilisation and regime change war there.

Free man

Nasr al-Hariri, the head of the Syrian High Negotiations Commission, told Asharq al-Awsat that although Russia stood by Iran in backing the regime, Moscow realizes that its two partners — Iran and Assad — are burdens, particularly due to US sanctions. The only way to obtain security, stability and a political solution in Syria, he said, is through the withdrawal of Iranian military forces.

Sinbad2

Did the voices tell you that?

Jaime Alberto GALARZA CASTANED

How about the Israelis leave the Golan Heights?

Antipodean58

Agree with the first part but it seems the US and Israel are very happy to prevent refugees from returning as they are effectively hostages and a great source of ongoing disaffection, radicalisation and excuse for ongoing “humanitarian” military presence. Refugees are also good for helping destabilise all the nations where they flee to. Chaos is good for both US and Israel, they are masterful creators of it everywhere.

Justin

dutchnational is back! hahaha
Agree with u dutch!
Since trump came into office, ive had a more optimistic outlook on the middle east! You and i might actually start agreeing! Havent seen you here in years!! Where have u been?

Sinbad2

This campaign did not start until Syria rejected the US pipeline offer in favor of the Iranian pipeline offer.
All wars are about money.

Justin

Different president! Doing the Opposite of what Obama did!

Albert Pike

What do you do with money. You buy stuff, people, whores, woman, land, food – property.
You pay a price according to how much the seller needs your money, or any money for that. The more the seller needs money – the cheaper he has to sell (himself). Therefore the interest of the 1% is to make anybody else as poor as possible. And that’s why it is not just about money. It’s about making a crisis – it’s about making other people poor. The plan of USraHell was to make Syria poor, poor enough to be bought by the Yinon plan, poor enough to buy Zion, to be bought out – like in the Kushner/Lubavitch Plan. Everybody wins – just the Syrians lose..

Why Russia don’t understand that Israel is an illegal terrorist state on the stollen land of Palestine.

By these mistakes Russia have been disintegrated. Russia don’t learn lessons from the history. Further for how long Russia will mitigate with global terrorists.

dez nuts

Israel should be a country and should be for all gods people, every race, religion, human welcome to the holy land. But instead its controlled by evil forces to keep this divide going between israel and Palestine.

dutchnational

Sadly Palestinians are disloyal to Israel and cannot be trusted.

1691

Oh, really?! They prevent the israelies from stealing their land. Ah, shame. Poor jews, the victims again.

Rob

Israel is a terrorist hub created under secret conspiracy of Israel with British army to take some Palestinian land on lease aggrement but as British forces have left Palestine long time ago so this lease agreement has no value. Israel should leave Palestine as soon as possible otherwise they will be kicked out by Palestinians and their allies.

Your English sucks man .

Better to have correct and clear ideas than irregular grammar my friend. The great advances of humanity are due to great ideas, not for good grammar.

Can you speak his language? Since you are Canadian, I suppose you can at least speak English and French. Can you?

Israel like Turkey are not “Clean Wheat”….We have seen what is happening in Idlib..a excuse of DE escalation zone have turn it in a Turkish pseudo califate full of terrorist well armed and trained by Turkish army!…without Iran and Hezbollah SAA will never be able to retake Idlib and ISIS remanent zone in east Homs desert…it would lead to the partition of Syria in 3 parts ( Idlib, Syria, Rojava) and prolong the never ending conflict!

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

I know Hezbollah has helped a lot but what are they doing now in idlib? As far as I know its just SAA but in hope I’m wrong

Willing Conscience (The Truths

No you’re right, they aren’t doing a thing to help the SAA anymore, but neither are the Iranians. Up until a few weeks ago it was only the SAA fighting the rebels in Idlib, and the Russians have only recently started helping again, but no one else has yet.
Hezbollah may have to move to Iran if a war starts there, maybe that’s why they’ve brought operations in Syria to a halt, or maybe the Iranians can’t survive the US sanctions without the income they receive from Turkey for oil sales, and don’t want to antagonize Erdogan atm.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

its a damn shame, SAA could really use hezb’s experience and manpower

Bolton needs to go

Any deal with Israeli is doomed to fail. I personally never met a Jew who was willing to keep his word.
They are not known as honest people. It is a genetic trait.
Israel has not kept their promises to the UN on treatment to Palestinians.
But modern Russians lack the intellect of their ancestors of the 1800’s to know that the Jew’s are going to back-stab both the Russians and the Syrians. It is genetically what they do.

iSRAHELL IS NOT AN HONEST BROKER WITH rUSSIA. tHEY DECIDED TO BE PARTNER WITH THE usa SINCE 1950. tHEY CANNOT HAVE A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH rUSSIA OR CHINA ONLY usa.

Ma_Laoshi

A meeting where purportedly Syria’s fate is being discussed, and not a Syrian in sight–like it’s still 1890. “When Putin & Lavrov talk so consistently about the Americans as their partners, we must assume they’re speaking the truth.”

Lupus

it would be the first time in history if Israël contributes to stabilize the Middle East or anything else

verner

I can’t even begin to fathom why russia sits down with the quickly disintegrating states of A and the squatters. and why isn’t Turkey part of the meeting, or Iraq or Iran. that is a first grade backstabbing by russia, after what 5 years of securing Syria’s future. to sit down with the parties that worked the hardest to destroy Syria and in the process killed maimed and destroyed the lives of millions.

putin you fuck, you do not speak with the enemy and the squatters is the enemy of the world together with the disintegrating states of A, run by the squatters and the fifth column jews – all bought and paid for by money from the fifth columns like adelson, aipac und zu weiter.

gustavo

If USA-Israel accept this type of talk and Russia-USA-Israel reach an agreement. Of course, this means that Syria will be broken, Iran and Hezbolah will leave Syria, Turkey will keep north part of Syria, Kurds will keep north-east of Syria, Al-Tanf will leave to Syria. However, the main reason for USA-Israel to do this is…..because they will concentrate now in the destruction of IRAN.

Free man

A stable Syria without the Islamic jihadist terrorists (Sunnis and Shiites) is a common interest of all but the Islamic jihadist terrorists .

Do you really think the people who rule will take any notice of a petition?

If you want to stop the USA/UK buy some gold or silver, the US dollar is Americas achilles heel.
Not only will you be doing your bit to stop these animals, you might just make some money.

The 3 oz I have is already paying off +5%. I expect gold will rise 30-40% within 3 years.

It’s gone up $36.00 today.
Once it breaks out, it will take on a life of its own, all the people who bid bitcoin to the moon will start buying gold.
In theory, based on money supply it should be 35 grand an oz.

AM Hants

Interesting, who is not going, rather than who is going.

Slightly off topic, and it was the old US administration involved, but, are they any different?

Has anybody seen the recent William F Engdahl article, concerning MH17 and published this month. It is well worth reading, owing to how it links everything up, regards MH17 and Russia Gate, plus, the players involved. Including the mentor of the new Comedian/President and his links to the Obama Administration, including Biden. Not forgetting how Mueller links into it all and what he left out, with regards the person
Manafort was working with.

The Jews know how to control the Americans, and at least they are adults.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

As long as israel keeps making trouble, and US does nothing to stop it, there wont be any stabilization, do u get that, russia?

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

And where is syria? Dont they have a day???

gustavo

Yes, that is possible since Israel and USA are the main supporter of terrorists in Syria. Of course, this would mean that Syria will shrink by 45% of its original land, and you know why.

verner

but note that while the disintegrating states of A sends the fully fledged threat against world peace bolton and the squatters a national security advisor, russia send a the secretary of the NSC, which indicates that Russia is there out of politeness but with little obligations for the future. Russia has its own agenda and that does not include to tell Iran to go back home. bolton will threaten and israel as well and the russian will go back and say, the same shit as always.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The US and Israels constant attempts to split the Shia coalition is just a part of their ongoing strategy to isolate Iran from its allies, thereby weakening Iran’s bargaining/negotiating power in any upcoming negotiations.
The Israelis want security guarantees concerning Iran’s nuclear ambitions as well as their ballistic missile capabilities, and negotiating with Iran without Syrian support would make it just that little bit easier to achieve, but both the Iraqis and the Syrians so far have refused every attempt by the US or Israel to split up the shia coalition.
If this report is correct it’s quite a tempting offer for Assad, I wonder what sort of counter proposal the Russians will make to circumvent it, as it stands the Russians are in a much better position to negotiate a new security deal with Iran than the US is, but if Assad took up the US/Israeli offer they wouldn’t be.
I’m sure Putin won’t allow this tempting offer by the US to stand alone, he’ll most likely up the ante and offer Assad something equally as good or possibly even better. Resolving the Idlib problem would be a better deal for Assad, perhaps Putin will work some of his magic on Erdogan and at least get approval for the SAA to wipe out HTS and Al Nusra in Idlib [60%+ territory], I’m sure that would keep Assad on side and out of the US’s manipulative grasp.
