Russia urges Turkey to coordinate military operations in Syria with the authorities of this country, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said. According to Zakharova, Moscow closely monitors actions of the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Syria.

“Certainly, we share Turkey’s desire to fight against international evil, represented by the Islamic State terrorist group. However, we would like once again to draw attention to the need to follow the international law and coordinate any military action on the territory of the sovereign state with the legitimate government of the country,” Zakharova said.

The spokeswoman also added that Moscow hopes to use in other parts of Syria the positive experience of the city of Daraya, where, last week, the Syrian Army and representatives of the ‘moderate’ opposition reached an agreement, according to which 4,000 civilians, including families of terrorists, as well as 700 terrorists with weapons, were evacuated from the city.

Last week, Turkey’s army, supported by the Syrian opposition and the international coalition’s air force, launched an operation against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in the city of Jarablus in northern Syria. The Syrian authorities have called Turkey’s actions a violation of the sovereignty.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that Turkish troops should stay in Syria as long as there are “threats” for Turkey. Yildirim stressed that Turkey’s operation in Syria targets IS terrorists, as well as Kurdish fighters in the Syrian-Turkish border area.

Also on Wednesday, Turkey’s Minister for EU Affairs, Omer Celik, said that that Ankara does not accept a ceasefire with Kurds.

“Turkey is a sovereign state, it is a legitimate state. To suggest it is on a par with a terrorist organization and suggest there are talks between them, that a deal has been reached between them, this is unacceptable,” he said, apparently referring to the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG).

Washington has expressed concern about Turkey’s attitude toward Kurds. Iran also said that Turkish military presence in Syria makes the country to be concerned.

Boris Kazlov

Tom Johnson

Nervous Moscow?

Boris Kazlov

Tell you r nigga to fuck you more, there is nothing indiscriminate in RUssian bombings all their strikes triple checked with ground forces, and certainly not ineffectual, ask the killed ISIS commanders. Murican airstrikes target SAA, and civilain infrastruture like the Aleppo power plant , and hospitals, they are very effective at helping terrorist proxies.

Boris Kazlov

USA collapsing very fast.

Tom Johnson

“families of terrorists” you mean residents? You are admitting to ethnic cleansing, this would be laughable if not for the suffering Russia has inflicted, on civilians, with their ineffectual and indiscriminate bombing campaign.
