More Russian Strikes Hit Kiev Forces In Kursk (Videos)

The Russian military’s Sever (North) Group of Forces inflicted heavy losses on several Ukrainian formations and launched more strikes against Kiev forces in the Kursk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on November 15.

The ministry said in its daily briefing that Ukraine’s 21st , 22nd , 41st , 47th , 61st and 115th mechanized, 17th tank, 80th , 82nd and 95th airborne assault brigades , the 36th marine brigade , the 103rd , 112th and 129th territorial defense brigades took losses close to the settlements of Darino, Leonidove, Malaya Loknya, Maryevka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, and Plekhovo.

It added that Russian air and artillery strikes hit gatherings of Kiev forces near the settlements of Alexandria, Zamostye, 1st Knyazhiy, Kolmakov, Kurilovka, Loknya, Martynovka, Makhnovka, Mirny, Nikolsky, Novaya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Novonikolaevka, Pravda, Sverdlikovo, Sudzha and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.

Other strikes hit the Ukrainian region of Sumy that borders Kursk, according to the ministry, which said that Ukrainian reserves near the settlements of Basovka, Belovodov, Zhuravka, Novyenky, and Pavlovka were hit.

“Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 100 servicemen, a tank , an armored combat vehicle, four vehicles, two 122 mm D-30 howitzers, a mortar, and an electronic warfare station were destroyed,” the ministry detailed in its briefing.

Videos released by the ministry and several media sources showed a strike on a large Ukrainian gathering in Sumy as well as some of the recent drone strikes that hit Kiev forces in Kursk.

Kiev forces launched a surprise attack from SUmy into Kursk last August. The Russian military is currently conducting a counter-attack to clear the region.

According to the Russian MoD, since the start of the battle in Kursk Kiev forces have lost 32,680 troops, 213 tanks, 136 infantry fighting vehicles, 112 armored personnel carriers, 1,166 armored fighting vehicles, 944 motor vehicles, 283 artillery guns, 40 launchers, including 11 American-made HIMARS and six MLRS systems, 12 air defense systems, seven transport-loading vehicles, 64 electronic warfare stations, 13 counter-battery radars, four aerial radars, 27 engineering vehicles, including 13 counter obstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle, six armored recovery vehicle, and one command post vehicle.
