I still think they are trying to draw HTS as far as they can from Fu’ah and Kafraya. Like a DeZ 2.0.

Just how long have those two towns been under siege?

I believe it already more than deir ez zor so 5 years cause this area are one of many city that fall down first in the beginning of war and proximity to turkey border then many turkmen live in the area make it worse to help them, and last years an effort to release them fail cause this turd firing at bus carrying civilian and blaming to saa, so helping them free from this monster will give very huge moral to saa that make israel and other devil trembling in the fear

Since Al Qaeda took over Idlib city and the rest of the state. For some time Al Qaeda had presence in the area but in villages, when they launched an offensive in March 2015, they encircled the two villages just outside Idlib city, that was when the reached the coast, as you know, later that year Russia was asked to help. There were about 40,000 people in those two villages at the time. This link will give you more details. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_al-Fu%27ah_and_Kafriya
