the fall of assad promises to be a major blow to russia, which is already bogged down in ukraine. its ramifications are likely to be felt across moscow’s foreign policy, which could soon face some stark and unenviable choices.
putin has had to ask/ beg turkey 🇹🇷 for safe passage out of the syrian bases and movement of troops and equipment out of the country..
it’s to set up the continuation of the war since ukraines unable to meet the requirements its just the next step in the game to prolong and broaden.
putin didn’t really care about syria or assad that much, he’d have liked to keep russian bases there but they’re not that important in the grand scheme of things. if anything it was a distraction, a waste of resources that will now be brought to bear on the ukrainian front. strategically defeating the us,uk,france,nato & ukraine is the important thing, and by the looks of it putin gonna get it done specially now that his friend trump will help
trump will try, but the best he can achieve is short term the next mid terms are only two years away.
assad’s fall is a major blow to russia.. it shows putin is not capable to protect his allies..!!
expect russia, under putin to accept the worst truce from nato and zelenskyy, and give up land the respected russian army gave their live to obtain ..! as i have said before, putin’s inaction’s will be the downfall of russia 🇷🇺 under putin..!
