Very close to Marib, matter of weeks now if not days..

Pave Way IV

In case anyone missed it, ISIS themselves publicly confirmed they were participating in the battles against the Houthi in Marib. Which explains the awkward U.S./Israeli act of desperation by designation of Houthi as terrorists and subsequent withdrawal of that designation. Because how would Washington explain to the U.S. public that we were supporting Saudi-backed Hadi, al Qaeda/Islah AND ISIS to oppose Houthi ‘terrorists’. The U.S. just never expected ISIS to announce this themselves.

I hereby demand the U.S. arrest the Pentagon, CENTCOM and USN 5th Fleet commanders for the act of high treason against the United States, re: direct and indirect support for enemies of the U.S. al Qaeda, ISIS terrorists in Yemen and their Saudi financiers. No wonder these fucking traitors were so eager to end the Houthis. Iran support my ass – the U.S. military leaders didn’t care who was backing the Houthis. All they knew was that the Houthi were resisting U.S. supported al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists in Yemen.

Wow…

Pave Way IV

Just in case anyone takes my sarcasm too seriously: This is hardly news and I don’t even know if that was really released by ISIS. But it doesn’t matter – the Hadi / Saudi-backed al Qaeda alliance has been known for at least a couple of years and the Hadi / UAE-backed ISIS 2.0 alliance since last year. Marib is well known as a safe haven for both head-chopper groups (much to the anger of Marib residents). The UN IDP camps around Marib are a mix of 1) legitimate IDPs as human shields for Hadi, and 2) the expected the welfare housing for al Qaeda and ISIS brides/breeders/widows while the hubby is busy chopping heads somewhere else in Yemen. It’s the usual at Tanf model of UN humanitarian concentration camps.

ISIS 2.0 is the new UAE/foreign intelligence-controlled version that replaced the original Saudi-controlled version wiped out in 2018 U.S. airstrikes. ISIS 2.0 original mission was to destroy Saudi-backed al Qaeda, who made the mistake of supporting Hadi’s war against the STC. The UAE-backed STC prevailed, and the UAE-backed ISIS 2.0 was revived to destroy Saudi-backed al Qaeda as punishment. They mostly did, but a few smaller al Qaeda groups and affiliated tribes remain around Marib. Some former al Qaeda factions defected to ISIS and they are also in Marib. There’s little open warfare between the two groups now, and they both coordinate with Hadi’s forces against the Houthis. The U.S. and UN have been wise to these arrangements all along but deny knowing anything.

The Saudis are pissed that the U.S. cooperated with the UAE to create ISIS 2.0 and destroy the Saudi al Qaeda. But the Saudis need U.S. cluster bombs, so they’ve apparently overlooked this little spat. Besides, the Saudis couldn’t afford their Yemeni al Qaeda troops anymore, so they stiffed them for a few months salary while ISIS 2.0 head-chopped them mostly out of existence. The UAE and US will continue to recruit for and employ ISIS 2.0 in Yemen to fight the Houthis. The Saudis know they can revive al Qaeda whenever they might be useful again.
