• On October 6, ISWAP militants attacked the camp of the commander of Boko Haram, Bakoura Modou in Lake Chad area. More than 87 militants reportedly were killed
• 722 people were Killed due to armed violence in September in Nigeria. Fifth of the fatalities are security personnel, according to the Nigeria Security Tracker
• On October 6, ISWAP attacked Nigerian Army positions in Damboa area
