- US troops are withdrawing from their positions on the border with Turkey. The garrison in Tel Arqam was abandoned;
- Units of the Russian Military Police exanded their patrols in the area between the city of Tell Rifaat and the district of Shirawa in southern Afrin;
- The Syrian Air Force continues strikes on militants in northern Lattakia;
- The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) detained two ISIS members, Abu Tayep and Nawraz al-Jalud, in operations across northeastern Syria.
The Turkeys are mostly bluff, but their goal is to trap the Kurds between SAA lines and themselves, if the Kurd morons had nay brains left, they should form a quick alliance with SAA and seek Kornets and an escape route. With proper ATGM and supply lines the Kurds of more experienced PKK can join in from Iraq and do some serious damage to the Turkeys. It will all also depend on how far Russia is willing to go to protect Syrian airspace as the Turkeys like Saudis will use their inept airforce to bomb indiscriminately. This is an ideal time to give the stupid Turkeys a real bloody nose.
The million dollar question is..who will have the control of Omar oild field?…

take a look at afrin….. a area with mountains,hills,caves,slopes, Forests
take a look at N.E. syria….. a DESERT area with NO mountains no Forests no hills no slopes
obvious how this will Play out!!! and as far as ATGM…… they are only usefull when fired from “covered” Areas, such as hills,mountains,forests etc…. …in the open they are , for obvious reasons useless to a large extent.
