- The Russian military continues construction of additional aircraft hangars at Hmeimim Airbase;
- The Afrin Liberation Forces announced on October 4 that their forces had attacked Turkey-led forces in Afrin’s Shirawa and near Azaz. 2 Turkish service members and 4 militants were reportedly killed;
- Syrian helicopters pounded militant positions near Kabani;
- Clashes between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and ISIS cells were reported near al-Sukhnah and al-Sholah;
- Turkish-backed militant groups – the National Front for Liberation and the National Syrian Army – merged on October 4;
- The SAA shelled militants near Ma’aret Hurmah and Maarzita.
