Syrian government forces, backed up by the Russian Aerospace Forces, are preparing for a major push against ISIS in central Syria. The goal of this operation is to clear the eastern Salamiyeh countryside from ISIS and to secure the Homs-Deir Ezzor road from possible ISIS attacks.

Great stuff, hard fighting in that area aparently which is maybe why it has not been cleared ealier, by all acounts though many Isis reinforcements evacuated other regions to the area so it will be an even harder fight now.

So LF confirmed it . TF are resting in North Hama CS . I wonder where they will be deployed now . Palmyra front or from Resafa . I doubt it will be East Hama because of Desert Hawks
To get a faster break through to Souknah and afterwards to DE City I suppose at the Palmyra front. But who takes care of Resafa and suburbs? A strong force needs to advance from there in direction to DE City and some parts of it need to control the back stabbing kurds there. So I hope the TF rest for a while after long and hard fights and start their next mission from Resafa.
Speed is a red herring; avoiding defeats matters more and a continuation of the inexorable advance will prevent that.
Or will they be the Northern force deployed against that ISIS pocket in Hama?
I can see the wisdom of going East and capturing those road junctions above Sukhna but that damn pocket has to be dealt with once and for all.
i think forces from resafa should close in on sukhnah and forces from arak/palmyra, so a two pronged attack, and then from there, to dez.
Desert Hawks with the QSF along with the HSF are going from Salamiyah towards the east and north, they worked great together in the Khanisir pocket . Saturday is when the TF will probably strike and push from Resafa to take all those junctions and flank towards Sukhana and Deir Ez zoir .
The TF will be going from Resafa and the Desert Hawks and co. are pushing from Salamiyah , this way push more to be sacrificed to Deir Ez zoir Kill Zone .When there was a lull that’s when the TF went on leave . There might be a fake push to Al Tanf to distract the US forces .
How longs R&R last?

im wondering cant SAA just airdrop TF in to deir ezzor? they would secure it in no time i think, or at least give the SAA forces already there much more support
Why? Issam has the whole region of DE City under control. The Tigers are needed to blast frontlines on the way to DE city. But where? We see it until Saturday/Sunday.
well i read that US airdropped FSA kinda near it to advance on dez, so no doubt they have their sights set on it, so i thought maybe it would be good idea to quickly send in TF there to reinforce. but yes, they are needed everywhere it seems

What is SAA waiting for moving all the way beisdes Euphrates river in the direction to Deir er Zur ? Russia aeroespace force must helpt to do this as soon as possible,
For that you need secured regions at the gear lines and supply on the way. And on the way along the river the USAF could intervene, esp. on the eastern side. The best way is over Palmyra front and from the south.
Soon the Turkish army will launch an all out attack on the Kurds and they will be retreating throughout the South and East of Syria including Raqqa and Tabqa to defend their front lines in the North of Syria
against Turkey. So the Kurds and the USSA will have softened up Raqqa mostly bombed
the civilians to ethnically cleanse it for the Kurds but now the Syrian army will be able to take Raqqa with minimal losses.
I hope so, but have no expectations on it.
After relieving Deir Ezzor . Greek navy attacked Turkish cargo ship , do you think the US was sending Turkey a message to back off the Kurds ?
