THis smell really bad, Turkish army and HTS escorted
what is the reason, to cross the border? to control it – they can do it from the Turkish side, too.
Syria invited them, do not lose sight of that.
Turkey has been supporting jihadists since the beginning of the war.
Who really thought they would change sides and start fighting jihadists ?
It was a mistake to allow them in to Syria.
Maybe, just maybe, the attempted Coup helped them to quickly decide.
IDK I really think the Turks are trying to get things right this time, but they could be playing Syria and Russia big time, they are still part of NATO. Just my thought.
Duplicity is the only predictable thing about the Sultan but for the moment it appears that the Syrians and Russians are using him….
I agree. You can not trust them, but at the same time, you cannot afford to distrust them.
I plunge for (at this present phase) – “the Turks are trying to get things right this time”.
That is the current amount allowed for the observation of the zones I believe and they have troops stationed as they had intelligence the Kurds were going to make a move into Idlib.Stop trying to read anymore into this as it’s a limited force and no real threat yet, as they are restricted in sending troops.
