This map provides a general look at the military situation in Syria and Iraq on June 7, 2017. The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have cleared more villages from ISIS terrorists in the area of al-Baaj near the border with Syria.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Army has continued operations against ISIS south of Maskanah and in the countryside of Palmyra. In turn, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have started a military operation in order to retake the city of Raqqah from ISIS.
This war is nothing but a trainwreck. Just take a look at how many forces, factions and nations that are involved… I have never in my life seen such battle with this kind of nature. This kind of war is a first thing in the world history imo and the only one that perhaps comes closer to it is the chinese warring states.
This is real life RED Alert game or Company of Heroes game. Blockbuster and it can go many different ways and the Americans are officially involved which makes it even more hyperbolic. Gas, Oil, Land grabbing, Religious battles, rulership and everything you name it.
1. SDF/Pesmerga – Kurds
2. PMU – Shia iraqis militias
3. Turkey
4. Iran
5. USA
6. Hay’et tahrir sham
7. FSA
8. Hezbullah
9. Russia
10. ISIS
11. Jordan
12. Israel
All these 12 nations, factions, and movements are involved in this war somehow or some way militarily in one country. This looks like a prophecy coming into effect
13. Saudi
14.Qatar
15. Iraq
16. Nato
17. Lebanon
18. Shiite militias from Afghanistan/Pakistan under Iranian command.
19. Syrian – Sunni / Christian / Shiite / Alawite / Druze militias.
20. Palestinians.
21. Sunni jihadists from around the world.
And the SDF and Peshmerga shouldn’t be in the same line since they are different entities and even hostile to one another at times, so that brings it up to 22 atm.
Syrian Peshmerga actually exists and are members of FSA, They are now situated in Qabasin, which then – soto speak – is kurdish again.
the anti isil coalition has 60 member states
Is there an Uruguay? :)
If not – it’s strange:)
never checked :D
You can consolidate many of the nominal factions under the rubric of USukNATOzioSaudi head-chopping, heart-eating rapers.
I wonder how many Syrian people would have backed the up rising if they knew it would be like this six years on ??
Such a beautiful country still is but completely torn apart in many parts,I do think the SAA, Kurds,PMU,Iran, Hezbollah, will manage to get along cause in the whole they have more in common, want to just have a pretty normal life I believe it will still be another two years before it settles down in the whole but where al queda or al nusra or whatever there wanting to call themselves today well I believe the whole collection of groups will turn on them soon after Isis is mostly finished in Syria, unless they start talking to the Syrian Arab army,we will just have to wait and see with this whole new Qatar, saudia Arabia talk might have something to say about what happens just in terms of money men !!!!!
How many people in the former USSR would have backed its dissolution in 1991 if they had known it would lead to corrupt governance, anarchy, several failed states, oligarchs and regional wars?
dont be troll
yoi are troll.
phooha
Take out al-Zuqf NOW and tell the Americans, if they don’t behave, al-Tanf will be next.
It seems like everybody seeks to reach Deir-ez-Zor…
Wish its defenders to stay strong and hold out until the final help.
It’s a little bit ashamed that my country is lingering…
Few spetznaz ground combatments could close the deal.
No, only SAA, ISIS and might be Iraqian forces.
SDF never has had any intension of having Deir El Zor. Only its enemies say so again again & again.
The Kurds have been helped a great deal it’s just that they are backstabbers and are trying to get there but it won’t happen too many people whom are not actually Kurds , but call themselves but aren’t .
Well, it doesnt matter if they are kurds or not or has integrated or assimilated well.
They has to have the same human rights in those 4 countries as anybody else – and as I see it they rest of the population could gain a lot by more of that too.
And they would have a fine training under real conditions :-)
