The situation today? Um, is there any movement?
Why are the Russians just sitting there and allowing the Ukrainians to prepare for an assault? I am hoping that its bait and the minute the Ukrainians start, Russia starts rapid advances in the east, Kharkiv and Sumy but it just appears that they have almost no plans for anything.
Ain’t no assault, just noise and death.
They are replenishing. They sent their tanks to get fixed after capturing Luhansk now it’s mostly an infantry and artillery fight, once the tanks are back they will probably push for Kharkiv. Winning fast is not to their advantage, time is against democracies. The kiev regime is slowly collapsing and the closer EU countries are to winter the more they will be pressurized by the current situation , they need Russian gas to make it through winter. You also have to take in consideration that a lot of Russians are from Ukrainian background too so for Russia the number one priority is to kill as less Ukrainian civil as possible. It’s not an invasion as we are used to , they only use a small part of their army and want to keep it that way , time is on their side.

And, Russia is spending resources to stabilize, rebuilding the Donbass which is every bit important than picking up new territory.
They have to finish until the winter. What they do by then, is all they will be able to get.
Why? They got a lot of territory and did a lot of damage in February. If the war lasts through the winter, Ukraine and Europe will become increasingly isolated and desperate.
Can’t attack a city, Putin doesn’t like to storm cities.

Time and patience as always there is no point in rushing to capture nikolaev yes the big bridge that leads to kherson from there is important as is kharkiv city and other strategic areas.
