If the Russians kill 500 soldiers a day, like they did today for 365 days that would be around 180,000. Times that by five years you got 900,000 dead soldiers.
With it’s current population of twenty something million, I’d guess that losses that high would put the Ukrainian war machine out of business.
Let’s just hope it won’t need to take THAT long.
Dema from the military summary channel said the Russians might not go on the offensive for a while, because if it fails the Ukrainians could go on an offense if their own. He said the Ukrainians were going to go in an offensive this spring, but didn’t cause they wanted til after the Russians started theirs.
I guess it makes sense since defensive armies usually have an advantage, so why would the Russians rush and risk big losses on their side? Especially since they have a big artillery advantage, and are winning the kill ratio by a good margin.
Brian Berletic of the New Atlas says the Russians will take big losses if they mount huge assaults in this modern age of warfare, and believes the Russians should keep the slow grind strategy. They both think the Russians are winning.
I heard from another analyst the Ukrainians are very good at making trenches for defensive warfare. I’d rather have the Russians take longer to win, then rush and incur heavy losses.
Those Ukrainian trenches are for Ukronazis to have some privacy while they give each other blow jobs.
