in iraq, a completely under -power weapons was against. the us tanks drove through the columns in the dark. the us has acknowledged that abrams will not even work in the fields, unlike a flat desert. the us has had to retreat everywhere. russia take over the regions permanently, there is no guerrilla activity behind. biiigg difference!
there were hardly any american casualties. that is impressive considering how hard they curb stomped the iraqi army.
the low losses are thanks to american military doctrine which effectively uses combined arms tactics. also american weapon systems seem to be harder hitting, all the russian stuff seems a bit under-powered and ineffectual.
