Started with protests in Daraa in 2011, the Syrian conflict rapidly turned into a war with a number of foreign powers supporting various militant groups (including al-Qaeda-linked) against the government of Bashar al-Assad. Since then, the country has been a point of instability in the Middle East.
Russia began a military intervention in Syria in 2015 after an official request by the Syrian government for military help against militant groups. This allowed the Syrian government to survive and to regain initiative in a battle against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda), ISIS and other militant groups.

Military Situation In Palmyra Countryside On May 29, 2017 (Syria Map Update)
Last weekend, the Syrian Arab Army and its allies liberated the village of Alyania (Ulayyaniya), the Alyania Mountain and the nearby areas south of Palmyra in the province of Homs.
I wouldn’t call it giving them if Saudi Arabia pays him 100 billion for them.
Give him at least some credit. If you absolutely have to funnel weaponry into the House of Saud so they can arm Jihadis with them, at least get paid for it. A hell of a lot better deal then with Israel, where the US ends up paying for a lot of the very weapons that Israel orders from them.
Excellent, they should however prepare to defend and strengthen Palmyra defenses, and to plug the escape route daesh will take from raqqa
They should just offer ISIS plane rides back to their countries.
Lol I wish but they are getting paid to fight by them
Yeah, the money line is the way to fight them if the really wanted to. And that won’t happen until Saudi Arabia or Jordan is on fire.
Yea instead moron trump gives them billions in more weapons

Why did he ever have to do that?
Nothing. Already week runs the operation Daawn and arak, T3 still in hands of enemy :(
Half a week actually… “nothing”? SAA (and allies) switched their focus to the south, and they are doing great. When they secure their flanks, then they’ll advance east (arak), and all the way to Deirezzor.
