when taliban were a normal insurgent group before takeover of afghanistan, usa killed all the enemies of taliban, i.e. ahmad shah massoud, general raziq achakzai (kandahari), sheikh ayaz niazi, opposing journalists. the usa cleared the ground for the taliban to take over afghanistan. now the usa has probably decided something else.
