Today the forces in Zhovtnevy have transitioned from holding the line to aggressively taking territory. The blue armbands were previously forced to relocate (and expend ammunition) in Primorskiy and also north of Azovstal, and now they have been forced apart, splitting the Azov troops into two easily encircled camps. The forces in Zhovtnevy are executing this maneuver. Fuck the Jews and the Nazis.

Given the destruction of the city by both parties, it will take years to rebuild. Perhaps even a decade or more before things fully return to normal. Even if the Russians manage to eliminate all pockets of resistance, fighting will most likely carry on for some time. There will be individuals and groups operating within the city and it’s surrounding areas for years to come. The local forces of the DPR and the Russian Military Police and other Russian forces (which will most likely be stationed there following the operations) will have an to engage in extensive mopping up operations to prevent sabotage operations, in addition to other provocations. This is the cost of urban warfare. The alternative was of course to level the city, though this is against the spoken objectives of the Russian Armed Forces. That said, the freeing up of combat units around Mariopol means Russian operations else where would most likely commence in short. I believe the next phase of the operations will begin soon if it hasn’t already. Only time will tell what the overall outcome will be. This war will leave deep scars in everyone involved, regardless of the victories of either side during such conflict.
