the donbas republics did fight their own war for eight years, while the failed ukrainian cia project was bolstered by their us owner and various vassals. the gamble was always to induce some kind of turmoil within russia to bring about the us goal of eliminating the nationalist government and balkanizing the country. too bad for you, it’s been yet another massive us failure at the expense of the ukrainians. except the ones who got to move to other countries. they seem pretty happy.

ukraine has put possibly 5 bridges into the kursk region of russia & those forces are cutting & disrupting supplies to putin’s other fronts. further, ukraine is taking putin military assets off the battlefield in areas where there is little in the way of prepared defensive positions. continued success to ukraine.
